    4th April

Kelly comes to Pear Tree looking for Jimmy, but Carl tries to warn her off again. However, much to Carl's annoyance, Jimmy later agrees to go with Kelly to talk to Elliot's nursery teacher. Subsequently, Eve finds Kelly alone in Tall Trees and shows her the 'proof' of her affair - Eve has mocked up photos of Kelly and Jimmy together and forged hotel receipts.

After their meeting at the nursery, Kelly shows Jimmy one of the photos of them together. Jimmy is thrown by this apparent 'proof' of his infidelity. As Jimmy struggles to hide his guilt in front of Nicola, Kelly dares to hope she might win Jimmy yet.

Meanwhile, Adam tries to give John and the farm a chance, but he's left frustrated when John teases that he knew Adam wouldn't be able to hack it up at the big house. Adam's further annoyed when John reverts back to his old ways by favouring Andy and showing him no respect. Finally, Adam loses it and storms off. John blames the fact that Adam's ego can't take it, but Moira warns him to get over his own ego before he loses Adam for good.

Elsewhere, Amy neglects the B&B but endears herself to David; Belle starts to realise the extent of the tension between Lisa and Zak; and Chas realises her break-up with Carl has made her more determined to make the partnership with Diane a success.

    5th April

As Val and Pollard head out for the day, Amy offers to run the B&B in their absence. However, things take a turn for the worse when Alicia, unable to find the cash for Jacob's school trip, sees the petty cash tin left unattended and can't resist helping herself. Amy assumes the money was taken by a guest she argued with earlier, and is convinced Val and Pollard will think she's stolen from them and will throw her out.

Amy pleads with David to help cover her mistake, and finally seeing her desperation, he replaces the missing money. Returning, Pollard is happy that all seems well at the B&B - however Val sees the tension on Amy and David's faces and gets suspicious.

Meanwhile, after John's goading the day before, Adam tells Mia that he may have made the wrong decision. She reminds him that her dad's job offer is still on the table, so Adam confronts John and tells him that he's taking Declan's job. Furious at the stab in the back, John tells him he can't trust Declan and he'll soon regret his decision.

Elsewhere, Zak admits he loves Lisa but feels useless and thinks she'd be better off without him, and Carl is sceptical when Jimmy tells him about Kelly's 'evidence' of their affair.

    6th April

Adam's late for work, much to John's amusement, but Adam insists that he won't be coming back to work on the farm any time soon - job with Declan or not.

Offering out an olive branch, John apologises for not waking him earlier and they're reconciled for the first time in a while. However, when Adam later returns home, he's put out to hear John wants rent money.

Meanwhile, with tensions still tight, Lisa calls Zak a coward for not being able to face up to what happened. Zak makes his excuses and goes when Belle and Samson arrive home but Lisa's had enough of skirting round the issue and heads after him - confronting him in a rage. Lisa's then left distraught when he walks off.

Elsewhere, Aaron and Jackson head to a restaurant, where Aaron's irked by the reactions of those around. However, when Jackson stands up for himself, Aaron's relieved. Relaxed in each other's company, Aaron and Jackson are enjoying themselves.

Also today, Amy delights in telling Victoria that she's sure David fancies her, and Noah gets caught in the crossfire of Cain's hatred towards Charity

    7th April 7-00pm

Zak tries to make amends but Lisa is cut up and she's left questioning if they'll ever get over this. Belle is subdued by the constant arguments but Lisa's aware of the effect it's having on her and shows her appreciation with a hug. Zak also talks to Belle and insists they're not getting a divorce.

Later, Zak makes a heartfelt apology but Lisa admits she has something to tell him - she's received a letter saying Derek has struck again and her case is being re-opened…

Meanwhile, with the lease up for renewal at Butlers, John tells Moira and Holly that he's going to ask Declan to extend it for another 15 years. Approaching Declan with the proposition, John's floored to find Declan has made plans to sell up. As he explains the potential new owners would want the business without any tenants, John turns on Adam, adamant that he was in on Declan's plan. Adam tries to deny any wrongdoing but puts his foot in it when he admits he showed a surveyor round.

Elsewhere, as Jackson and Aaron prepare to go to a football game together, they're joined by Hazel, Jerry, Chas, Rhona and a kitted-out Paddy. When they arrive at the ground, Jackson and Aaron are ushered into the disabled area while the others find their seats a little further back. Jerry's attempts to talk to Jackson are thwarted by a steward who won't allow him in due to health and safety, and Jackson is amused by Aaron's self control to keep calm.

Also today, Debbie's irked to find Cain has ripped off a customer, and Rhona and Paddy agree to shack up together.

    7th April 8-00pm

Sure of Adam's betrayal, John condemns Declan for using his son to do his dirty work but Declan insists that Adam knew nothing of his plans. However, after his dad has left, Adam learns that Mia knew about Declan's plan and storms out.

Back at Butlers, John is mid-rant when Adam appears. With emotions running high, Adam throws down some cash on the table to cover his rent, convinced this is all he's worth to his own family. Moira's furious with John for driving Adam away. Later in the pub, there's an air of hostility but in a bid to make peace, Declan ups his cash offer to John. Taking offence, John laughs off Declan's offer before launching at him. As John is forced to leave, Declan declares war.

Meanwhile, reeling from receiving the letter about Derek, Lisa questions Zak's reluctance at her case being re-opened, convinced he's ashamed of her. Later when the news has sunk in, Zak insists he'll be there for Lisa every step of the way and shows his support by holding her tight.

Elsewhere, Amy tries to impress David after learning that he's going to be at a council do at the restaurant; and Alicia gloats about getting one up on Justin, but Andy lays down the law - distinctly unimpressed by Alicia's game-play.

    8th April

Amy is all dressed up and looking forward to a night out with David and Leyla. Joining them in the pub, Amy invites herself along to their meal out but she's humiliated when she's refused service in the bar because she's underage and storms out. David follows her and Amy tells him she's fed up of being patronised. She asks whether he wants to go out into town with her but he turns her down.

Staggering down a country lane later, Amy has a near-miss with a car. Cain's behind the wheel and he pulls over, furiously questioning her game. Laughing it off, Amy flirtatiously questions what Cain's doing working at such an hour and demands he take her home. As Cain pulls in to the garage, Amy refuses to get out and sets about seducing the village bad boy.

Meanwhile, Mia's furious with Declan for putting her in such an awkward position with Adam and the Bartons. Mia pleads with Adam not to let her dad's underhanded business tactics get in the way of their relationship, but he's unable to see how it's ever going to work. Later, Adam challenges Declan - is he sure he didn't only employ him to get at his dad? Declan says no, but Adam goes to Moira and tells her that he's fed up with the Maceys.

Elsewhere, Alicia's given her final warning by Chas, and John sets about making the tenancy side of their contract water-tight.

    Cain and Amy

'Emmerdale's Cain Dingle is set to be seduced by a 16-year-old.

The village bad boy - who is heartbroken after his relationship with Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) ended and she began dating businessman Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) - will bed schoolgirl Amy after she sets her sights on him.

Chelsea Halfpenny - who plays the troubled teen - said: "She's trying to hitch a ride when Cain almost runs her over. He gives her a lift and things becomes very flirty. It's Amy who takes the lead and it goes from there."

In the morning Cain (Jeff Hordley) is horrified to discover her age and tells her to "Go away little girl."

However Amy is not bothered as she is more interested in David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden) and is hoping her night with Cain will make him jealous enough to reciprocate her advances.

Chelsea added to Soaplife: "She's got a huge crush on David and really thinks he feels the same but he turns down her invitation of a night out.

"Later David tells her she shouldn't be with someone like Cain and she thinks he's jealous."

How could Cain not know how young Amy is? She's being fostered by Eric and Val so he's bound to know.

James Thornton has admitted that Emmerdale fans think his character John Barton is being too harsh in his disputes with son Adam.

In recent weeks, viewers have seen Adam (Adam Thomas) quit his job at the Bartons' farm after growing frustrated over the way he is treated by his father. The ambitious teenager is now working for rich businessman Declan Macey, played by Jason Merrells.

Speaking on Loose Women this afternoon, Thornton confessed that the reaction to the storyline has been different to what he originally expected.

He explained: "I tell you what, when I started reading these scripts, I thought, 'This is great this, the audience will be on my side here'. Because Adam's not been turning up for work, he's turning up late and he's with his girlfriend all the time.

"But people are coming up to me on the street now, saying, 'You're being horrible to that Adam! He's a lovely lad, why are you being so horrible to him?' I'm a bit gutted about that, actually! I thought I was going to come out quite nice, but no!"

Discussing the ongoing rivalry between John and Declan, Thornton added: "What it is, Declan's got the money and the flash cars, and Adam now wants to go and work for him - he doesn't want to work for his dad anymore. John loves his son so he's a bit upset that he doesn't want to work with him. There's a lot of jealousy there."

Tonight's Emmerdale double bill sees John and Declan's feud intensify as they clash at The Woolpack.
