Basically what Bryan said in this post. Songs that should never be covered.
I'll start with Percy Sledge & When a man loves a woman. You just can't beat the original so why did Michael Bolton even try?

Just can't get enough *cough* the saturdays *cough*
Walk this Way, when Sugababes and Gils aloud did it! Just Wrong!
Against All Odds
Somewhere Over the Rainbow.........every one has butchered this song..
Jodi, ditto for unchained melody and without you.
Super Mod
Unchained Melody by Jimmy Young...that's the one!
This is who sang it first and the way it should sound:
Shiv is this the original artist ???
Unchained Melody first reached the British charts in 1955, performed by Jimmy Young along with other versions by Al Hibbler, Les Baxter and Liberace.
The Righteous Brothers version did not reach the charts until ten years later in 1965.
Which just goes to show that cover versions can sometimes be better than the originals.
