Maybe via adopting, NOT naturally!! Not one doctor or medical advisor would recommend in this specific situation to get pregnant naturally, they would be giving a potential death sentence to the other partner who is infection free! Unless you opt for using someone elses sperm via IVF, and in some situations going private and paying lots of money, it's not advisable! So NO they wont be able to naturally have their own child, but they could find other alternatives.

Hence the part in my previous post which states if they wish to pay lots and go private, although in this particular storyline unless they win the lottery, it's a highly unlikely situation! So as they are not rolling around in cash, then the orginal answer to the question is NO they wont be able to have their own kids together naturally! Hth
Actually they can have their own biological child through Artificial Insemination. If the female is the uninfected partner, artificial insemination can help if the sperm is first treated to reduce its ability to cause infection. This requires a new technique called "sperm washing," an attempt to remove whatever virus is present and not part of the sperm itself. The "washed" sperm can then be used for insemination that will presumably pose less risk of infecting the woman. In addition, taking the same anti-viral drug regimen as someone with HIV may offer some protection from infection if the sperm is not virus-free
Trying to get pregnant the old-fashioned way poses small but significant risk when one partner is HIV-positive (5% risk).
And they dont have to be rolling in it to have it done as they can apply to the NHS and have 3 attempts on them!
Pink Grinch u seem to be a bit of a know it all when u really need to do your research properly!!

Once again, another who did not read my post! IT IS POSSIBLE BUT EXPENSIVE! Hence they have to get the money, and therefore can't see it happening unless they win the lottery! *Yawn*

Oh and not all trusts offer it free!
Majority do tho!!!
Actually only one-third of PCTS introduced guidelines to end the postcode lottery for IVF treatment, which is a very small proportion. Oh and to add despite all PCTS,as stated byNICE guidelines in 2004, should offer at least one round of IVF treatment, it's not being adhered to :http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/ukne...f-couples.html
Anyway, this is a topic about a soap which is unrealistic at the best of times.

great new she is in the clear!
why just becuase they get married does it mean they want children??? not EVERYONE wants to, prehaps they will just grow old together... just the 2 of them
and would just like to add ( after having fertility probs and looking into everything and chatting to lots of people in same situation) that even if local pcts do offer free treatment, its not automatic youll get it and you have to meet certain criteria!!!
