Vernon i think is a good charecter he fills the comedy role but can be serious at times as well.
The Mortons not so sad to see the back of its such a shame because there was so much hype and they never lived up to it.
The Masons seem a bit of a suprise as they are really starting to get involoved in some of the soaps main storylines and i thought they would be here for a long time!!!

If you ask me, they shouldn't have axed anyone. In my opinion, Corrie's problem right now is that they overuse characters way too much (the Connors, David) spring to mind and underuse characters... and I think if the bookie characters and the Mortons were used a bit more and given something decent, they could have been saved. Corrie need to tone down on the Connors and David and let the limelight shine on some other people, in my opinion...and no, not on Antony Cotton..

Surely they are going to be replaced? Two businesses, the kebab shop and the bookies will not stand empty for long, I am sure. As the Websters are meant to buy Ashley's and Clare's house, perhaps snobby Sally fancies herself as a bookie because she worked there before, if I remember correctly. Can't see her turning the spit for the kebabs And the new block of flats will bring more people to the cobbles, not less my friend.

I did not know that Kevin and Sally are going to buy Ashley & Clare's house ? I can't see why Corrie needs a Kebab shop ? Why can't Roy's be enough ? I think the bookies should close permantely nobody made a go of it, some many people ran it, Peter Barlow, Des Barnes to name a couple !

Read the thread "Credit crunch hits Corrie" from 8th April. I personally think Roy's Rolls is enough but I am not a scriptwriter. Most areas in UK have a bookie so why shouldn't there be one on Coronation Street?

Not forgetting the Fish & Chip shop too ! Why not close the bookies and turn it into something new, like a Dry Cleaners or Chemist !!
