Summer Preview from Inside Soap
Following hot on the heels of latest recruit PC Beth Green there'll be some more new additions to the Sun Hill team this summer... PCs Sally Armstrong and Billy Rowan [Ben Lee] will get their warrant cards in July, around the same time as the arrival of Sergeant Callum Stone [Sam Callis]. Callum is set to send shock waves through the station. He wins favour with everyone except Smithy, has Smithy sensed something the others have missed? This is a new era for The Bill and Stone is definitely one to watch!
Tough DC Grace Desari (Amita Dhiri) joins the CID team in June, on a secondment from Special Projects. Her no-nonsense attitude means she doesn’t always get along with her colleagues, but she has the ability for gritty policing, and her skills are soon tested.
Meanwhile the skills of Jo, Nikki and Heaton will be put to the test as the driven trio and their officers try to crack a dangerous new case.
There are more action packed episodes in store when Nikki becomes determined to bring a ruthless killer to justice after tragedy strikes. Meanwhile Heaton's on the trail of his nemesis gangster Ray Moore. However when Ray's found dead, PC Lewis Hardy (Aml Ameen) is forced to wonder if his cousin has been directly involved.
When Lewis discovers his cousin has joined the Skens street gang, following the revenge attack on Ray Moore, Lewis questions his role in the force. Where do Lewis’s loyalties lie - with his family or with his career? Lewis remains embroiled in the antics of The Skens. He is lured to the dark side and Lewis ends up shooting his beat partner PC Roger Valentine. Can the Sun Hill team bring him back into the fold before it's too late? (Roger gets shot supposedly in episode 518)
Also the vicious murder of a supermodel unites Jo and Stuart but as they work together to solve the crime Jo ends up trapped in a life or death situation.
