It's all been a bit quiet on the Battersby-Brown front over the last few months.
Usually there are some dodgy shenanigans going on at number five Coronation Street, but we haven't heard a peep for ages. But fear not, the common-as-muck clan will be back with a vengeance this winter with a storyline bound to shock viewers to the very core.
It all kicks off when Fiz starts to suspect mum Cilla is up to her old tricks again. And Cilla is definitely hiding something – but it's not what you may think. Meanwhile, her husband Les will be doing his own bit of extra-marital explorations by getting closer to Cilla's best pal Yana Lumb!
With all these secrets and lies swirling around the family, its no surprise that little Chesney begins to worry that his dream of domestic bliss is about to be shattered. But you'll have to wait and see whether or not Les and Cilla can hold their marriage together…
Meanwhile, family relations at the Baldwins are set to go from bad to worse. Its now common knowledge that Danny Baldwin is only a couple of weeks away from discovering the worst kept secret in Weatherfield – that son Jamie has been getting it on with his ex-wife Frankie.
And with sparks flying, fists will be following suit. In fact, the showdown between devastated Danny and his stubborn son is set to stun viewers with its viciousness. Unable to control his rage over Jamie's betrayal, Danny decides to let his fists do the talking – and the fierce fight is going to leave Jamie seriously injured.
But is Danny so consumed by jealousy and rage that he'll actually leave his own child on the brink of death? There's certainly going to be no love lost as the two men square off – but considering Danny's past form (i.e sleeping with Jamie's own fiancée Leanne Battersby), can he really justify his indignation at their antics?
Danny could learn a thing or two about forgiveness from young Sarah Platt. Despite having her heart ripped apart by former fiancé Jason Grimshaw, who jilted her at the altar, the struggling single mum has held her head up high and got on with her life.
However, this is a girl who's got a real weak spot where men are concerned. And it'll be no surprise to discover that she's still allowing her heart to rule her head where hunky Jason is concerned. Having spent the last few months desperately trying to win her back, Jase will find Sarah thawing as the weather turns cold.
Despite letting her down so humiliatingly, Jason holds a special place in Sarah's heart and it seems that she's willing to consider giving their relationship another go. We can only imagine how pleased that's going to leave their respective mothers…
