leanne is to help the police bring down harvey and sharon
Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) is in danger when drug dealer Harvey (Will Mellor) finds out she?s a secret police informant, forcing her and Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) to plot their escape from Weatherfield.
Feeling the pressure of the police sting to bust Harvey?s drug network, Leanne alerts the cops to a major narcotics haul being delivered to her flat, while trying not to raise suspicion among the dealers.
Lee panics when Harvey insists on taking Simon to pick up the product and begs she go in her son?s place, but to no avail. When the collection goes awry, angry Harvey tells Leanne he reckons someone set him up, forcing her to come clean she?s the grass! With her and Si?s lives at risk, Leanne knows the only way to stay safe is to leave Weatherfield for good. How will her family react when they discover how deeply in danger Leanne is?
After thinking Harvey was Leanne?s new fella, Nick had given up hope on rekindling their relationship. When he learns his ex is knee-deep in a narcotics investigation that almost got her killed, Mr Tilsley reels ? then learns she?s got to go into hiding.
Declaring his undying love to Lee, Nick pleads for her to take him back so they can deal with this almighty mess together. But too much is already at stake and Leanne tells Nick he has to let her go ? unless he?s prepared to say goodbye to Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan), the son he?s only just found. When it comes to the crunch, who will Nick choose ? his childhood sweetheart, or his child?
cult storyline for leanne and simon
Leanne Battersby is set to leave the cobbles next week as Jane Danson's Coronation Street character gets swept up by 'The Institute'. As viewers of the ITV soap know, Leanne has been listening to Rowan Cunliffe ever since his arrival in Weatherfield and he's even been pulling her away from partner Nick Tilsley and even her sister Toyah Battersby during her time of need.
In upcoming scenes, Toyah finds a forum for ex-members of the Altovalent Institute. She tries to show her sister a post she?s seen, suggesting that the Institute is not to be trusted, only to discover it?s been taken down for legal reasons. Leanne?s dismissive but calls Rowan who makes out that his bitter ex wrote it and there?s no truth in her words. When Rowan reveals that he?s been promoted to head of the North-West division and offers her a tour of the Institute, leaving Leanne flattered.
omg she is insufferable and intolerable
ITV Coronation Street's Leanne Battersby 'replaced' in dark plot after soap exit.
Coronation Street's Leanne Battersby looks set to be replaced amid a dark plot on the ITV soap.
Amid the long-time soap character's abrupt exit from the show likely airing in scenes this week, spoilers for next week appear to reveal the resident is replaced by another character. Viewers know that months ago, troubled Leanne was reeled in by Rowan Cunliffe and his 'self-improvement' institution. He claimed to have the tools to heal her trauma and make her a better version of herself.
It led to Leanne spending thousands of pounds investing, while she also became isolated from her family. She even encouraged neighbour Amy Barlow to get involved after her own trauma, advising her that Rowan and his organisation were the real deal.
But amid residents urging Leanne and Amy to avoid the opportunity, with Leanne's sister Toyah trying to expose Rowan as a scammer, an exit is teased to air this week. Leanne finally seems to open her eyes to the fact not all is as it seems, and she takes some time away from Weatherfield.
Doubt she will be replaced... hate these storylines that have nothing to do with the storylines most of the time. It is summer, Jane prolly wants to go to Ibiza with her husband so she will take time off to go to a seminar held by the institute... ??? Cannot wait to see it.... actually I would rather not watch any of it..
