    If I found out my solicitor has been discussing my business in a cafe in front of many other customers I would be furious.....

    Diana talks a good game but she's not much cop at all. She will be getting loads of legal aid for a murder case. Why hasn't she hired private detectives ?

    With the country in the state it is, I cannot imagine they would hand out enough money for private detectives. How much money can you get in legal aid?

    Doubt it is much as most legal aid has been stopped, I believe...

    You can still get legal aid in criminal cases but it is means tested. I would guess that Roy's income would take him above the level where he could apply for it.

    He would still qualify for aid to defend a murder charge

    he is an employer, self employed as cafe owner, would he qualify?

    Yes, but you can't get legal aid if you earn more than ?22,375 per year and I assume Roy receives more than that.
