    Exclamation Emmerdale Spoilers 6th - 10th May 2024

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/emm...isode-details/

Emmerdale has shared more details of a special episode focusing on Tom, Belle, Marlon and Rhona.

The two couples take centre stage next week as they meet up for a dinner party which descends into chaos.

Show bosses have revealed that tensions rise, secrets are revealed and relationships are shattered as the evening progresses.

Emmerdale steps away from its usual style by showing two different perspectives of the same dinner party.

This helps to explore the ongoing conflicts and problems in both relationships ? and how what you see in public isn't necessarily what's really going on behind closed doors.

In the first half of the episode, Marlon and Rhona attend the dinner party but they struggle to move on from their recent rows over Gus Malcolms' court case.

Marlon is struggling to forgive Rhona for her decision to turn against Gus in court, which influenced the judge's decision to give him a long jail sentence for fraud.

A row between the couple escalates as they decide to air their issues publicly. The situation gets so bad that Rhona seemingly ends their marriage in front of their friends.

Meanwhile, Tom's disturbing abuse of Belle has been growing for several weeks. While the troubling nature of their relationship is obvious to Emmerdale viewers, they outwardly seem like a happy couple to their oblivious guests during the meal.

The second half of the episode rewinds to the start of the dinner party, allowing the audience to see the day from Tom and Belle's point of view.

With the King couple hosting the evening, Tom cruelly puts unreasonable pressure on Belle to make the dinner party a big success.

When things start to go wrong, viewers will be given a further insight into the terrifying reality of Belle's life with Tom once they're left alone.

The episode has been directed by award-winning Duncan Foster, who has previously taken charge of other memorable Emmerdale editions including the Hotten Bypass crash in 2016.

Emmerdale's producer Laura Shaw commented: "The dinner party episode puts a sharp lens on the relationships of the gathered people and gives the audience a unique view into their lives.

"Stepping away from the usual Emmerdale format, it offers our viewers the chance to see how some relationships like Rhona and Marlon's can very publicly unravel and fall apart, whereas other relationships, like Tom and Belle's, can present in public as perfect and behind closed doors tell a very different, much darker story."

Emmerdale airs the special episode on Tuesday, May 7.

Emmerdale villain Tom King falls out with Vanessa Woodfield next week as tensions rise at the vets surgery.

Tom's manipulative behaviour rears its ugly head again as he's called out for making a mistake at work.

The problems arise when Tom messes up by diagnosing an elderly dog with cancer without conducting the necessary tests first.

Vanessa and Paddy Dingle intervene just in time. Vanessa organises the correct blood tests and correctly diagnoses that the dog just has an abscess.

The animal's owner is left furious over the mix-up and heads out, leaving Tom unhappy over how things went.

Rather than accept blame for what happened, Tom plays the victim by claiming that Vanessa makes him feel unwelcome at the practice.

Vanessa is baffled by Tom's criticisms as they've always got along well until now.

The scenes pave the way for Emmerdale's recently-announced special episode focusing on Tom, Belle, Marlon Dingle and Rhona Goskirk.

Keen to prove himself to his work colleagues again, Tom invites the vet staff and their partners to a dinner party at his and Belle's place.

Tom returns home in a furious mood after his terrible day.

Belle is unsettled as Tom announces the upcoming dinner party and warns that the success of it is entirely down to her.

Will Tom make peace with Vanessa, or are their tensions a sign of things to come in the storyline?

Emmerdale airs these scenes on Monday, May 6 and Tuesday, May 7.

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.

Emmerdale's Nicky Miligan faces an uncertain future next week as he's injured in a car crash alongside Ethan Anderson.

Nicky and Ethan are travelling to pick up Suni Sharma when disaster strikes on the road.

The drama begins when Suni visits a bar and spots one of the men who was involved in the homophobic attack on him last year.

Suni calls his boyfriend Nicky to let him know. Nicky is keen to drive there, but Ethan points out that he has drunk too much and offers to get behind the wheel instead.

During the journey, Ethan notices a police car up ahead on the road. He starts to worry about being over the limit himself, so he turns around to avoid passing the police.

Tensions mount in the car when Nicky suddenly struggles to get hold of Suni on the phone.

Ethan then loses control of the vehicle altogether and a shocking crash leaves him and Nicky unconscious.

Ethan is first to regain consciousness and he pulls Nicky from the car. When Ethan spots another vehicle approaching, he rushes off into the distance and watches as Moira Dingle finds Nicky unconscious.

Fearful of how this could affect his reputation and his legal career, Ethan flees from the scene.

Emmerdale's producer Laura Shaw first teased this storyline earlier this month ? refusing to confirm whether the victim would live or die.

Shaw told Digital Spy and other press at the time: "We're going to see an accident happen that's going to affect two big family groups.

"It's going to connect those two family groups together, and we're going to see somebody in very serious medical jeopardy.

"Whether they live or die, we will have to see. What I can tell you is that the ripples and repercussions from that accident will be very long-lasting and life-changing for a number of our villagers."

Emmerdale airs these scenes on Thursday, May 9.

Emmerdale's Belle King is hiding something from Tom

Belle King isn't keen to start a family just yet but Tom is desperate to become a dad.

Last week, she ended up having to do a pregnancy test, which came up negative, much to her controlling husband's disappointment.

Not happy about where they left things, and rather than get a load of grief from tricky Tom, she's decided she's going to take her pill in secret and tells her GP, Manpreet, she doesn't want her contraceptive posted home.

Will the women come up with a solution?

If Tom were to find out he would flip. Will Belle manage to keep the explosive truth from him given that he's secretly monitoring her every move?

Speaking of the devil, over at the vets', Tom is in the middle of a terrible day.

He's utterly humiliated when Vanessa swoops in to stop him from making a major mistake with an elderly dog.

Showing his true colours, angry Tom blames the situation on Vanessa claiming she's made him feel unwelcome at the practice.

Realising he's behaved badly and revealed his dark temper, he quickly changes tack, inviting his colleagues and their partners to a dinner at his place tomorrow.

Later, at home, he unleashes his bad mood on Belle and tells her he's invited Paddy, Mandy, Rhona, Marlon, Vanessa and Suzy for a meal, making it clear it's down to her to sort it and make it a success.

Belle's stress levels rocket at the thought of it.

Down the road, Marlon feels the same when Rhona tells him she's accepted Tom's invite without consulting him.

Rhona's statement, which helped send Gus to prison for 8 years, has caused huge problems in her marriage to Marlon
In Marlon's mind it's more of the same from Rhona who changed her mind about what to say at Gus' sentencing without warning her husband.

With the Dingles' marriage on really rocky ground will they manage to paint on a smile at the Kings' dinner party?

    Tuesday

Emmerdale's Belle King is in serious danger in her own home

A special episode plays out two very different sides of the same evening.

Round at the Kings' place, Rhona, Marlon, Paddy, Mandy, Suzy and Vanessa have been invited to dinner by Tom.

But as the couple prepare for their guests, it's clear theirs is not a happy home.

Exerting his control over his wife, Tom has landed her in it and insisted she cooks for his colleagues, warning her that his job depends on the meal going well.

As the guests arrive, the evening then plays out from Rhona and Marlon's perspective.

Their marriage is in crisis following Rhona's damning statement in court which helped send her ex Gus to prison for eight years. Marlon just can't get over what his wife did and said.

Really, they should be home trying to repair their relationship. It soon becomes apparent they just can't keep their anger in check.

While Mandy and Paddy and Suzy and Vanessa are loved up and happy, Rhona and Marlon can barely stand the sight of each other.

Host Tom raises a toast about marriage hitting a nerve with the Dingle couple who by the end of the excruciating evening ? during which they've done nothing but snipe at each other ? are done.

The evening is then shown from Tom and Belle's perspective. They're also a couple in crisis but no one else knows that.

As the Kings prepare to receive their guests, Tom criticises Belle's outfit and insists she gets changed into something 'more appropriate'.

While Belle pops upstairs, doing as she's told, Tom heads into the kitchen where he makes a discovery that will change everything?

Before the furious vet gets a chance to take it up with his wife, the guests arrive and Tom switches persona, pretending to be the perfect, happy host.

Later, Belle pops off to the bathroom, Tom follows her and makes his anger known.

From then on, Belle is on pins.

Slaving away in the kitchen, the Dingle is stressed and terrified, and Tom is breathing down her neck at every turn.

When talk turns to leaving, Belle tries to delay them, knowing that she's going to be in huge trouble with Tom once they're alone.

But her efforts are in vain and soon Tom's got his petrified wife right where he wants her?

Is Tom about to turn violent?

    Wednesday

Emmerdale's Marlon and Rhona need to talk

It's the morning-after-the-night-before for Rhona and Marlon Dingle who disgraced themselves at the Kings' dinner party.

Unable to keep things nice, the husband and wife picked and picked at each other, arguing in front of their friends.

When they left Tom and Belle's place, Rhona had announced she was done with their marriage.

It falls to Paddy to step in. He knows the friends love each other to bits and have been under incredible strain since baby Ivy appeared in their lives.

The family has been through hell and the dust still hasn't settled.

Taking Marlon to one side, Paddy urges him to drop his issue with Rhona and make amends.

Will Rhona accept Marlon's olive branch when he suggests they go to marriage counselling?

Elsewhere, Nicky and Suni's relationship is going from strength to strength.

But with Nicky's parents Ruby and Caleb constantly rowing, he's having a horrible time at home.

Will Suni welcome the idea when Nicky talks about moving in together?

Elsewhere, Kerry's money problems continue, and Billy and Dawn's nightmare continues.

    Thursday

Emmerdale's Nicky Miligan is left fighting for his life

Nicky Miligan is left crushed when his dad Caleb laughs at an idea he's had.

He's been thinking he could take over Nate's shares in the family business but it's clear Caleb doesn't feel the same. In fact, his father thinks it's funny.

Feeling rubbish, Nicky ends up having a few drinks. A few too many.

When Suni calls him from Hotten with urgent news, Nicky's desperate to race over to find his boyfriend who's spotted one of the homophobic thugs who attacked them last year.

Nicky's too drunk to drive so Ethan steps in even though he's had a few himself.

The lads are on their way to meet Suni when Ethan spots a police car and decides to turn off to avoid them.

But the solicitor ends up losing control of Nicky's car and crashes it.

When Ethan finally comes to, Nicky's still out cold?

In a moment of madness and panic, Ethan drags his unconscious friend from the car ? hoping it will appear as if Nicky was at the wheel ? and flees.

Out of sight, Ethan watches on and is relieved when a car pulls up. It's Moira, Nicky's aunt.

As Moira calls for an ambulance, Ethan then legs it.

Will Nicky pull through? And will Ethan do the right thing? If the solicitor is found out he will be struck off?

Kerry's still having huge money problems but is about to find out that she needn't be this broke.

The mum is horrified when she learns Pollard swindled her when he sold her necklace for her and pretended it was worth a pittance.

Determined to get revenge on him, Kerry sabotages the shop, selling everything off at rock bottom prices.

How will Pollard react? Will he give Kerry the money he effectively stole from her?

Elsewhere, Dawn and Billy's hell continues. And teenager April tells her parents Rhona and Marlon she knows they're having problems.

    Friday

Emmerdale's Ethan Anderson needs to confess

As a solicitor, Ethan Anderson should follow the absolute letter of the law.

But not only did he get behind the wheel of a car when he was over the limit, he crashed it and legged it leaving his passenger, and friend, Nicky injured and unconscious.

Nicky is in hospital fighting for his life and his parents Ruby and Caleb are worried sick.

As the police investigate, will they uncover evidence that suggests someone else was in the car with Nicky?

Will Ethan's guilty conscience push him to confess to what he's done?

Having found out that Pollard conned her out of thousand pounds it's time to confront him.

He's furious with her for having sabotaged his sales at the shop but when Kerry reveals what she knows about the necklace he 'helped' her sell, it's stalemate?

How will the confrontation play out?
