Mike and Esther insist on dropping Summer at the hospital for her scan but agree to wait outside.

However, as Summer and Aaron play for time in the hospital, Mike suddenly appears at their side and announces he should attend the scan with Summer. Summer and Aaron brace themselves to tell Mike the truth.

Meanwhile, Martha breaks the news to Ken that she starts rehearsals on a new play in Hull tomorrow. Ken is gutted. Having heard from Brian that Ken made a night of it with Martha, Wendy is put out. Unsure whether to follow his head or his heart, Ken is stunned when Martha suggests he should move to Hull with her.

Elsewhere, Alya tells Dee-Dee that she needs to cut her hours at the solicitors' to spend more time with her family. Griff presents a thrilled Max with a top-of-the-range video camera and tells him he's now their official videographer.

Also today, when Daniel sees a magazine article written by Bethany Platt, Daisy is unnerved at the mention of his ex. Inspired, Daniel decides it's time he started writing again.

Finally, as Hope listens to her John Stape tape, completely spellbound, Fiz and Tyrone remain unaware.

Tyrone reveals his surprise wedding plans to Kevin and Abi, but when he shows them the dress he chose with Gemma, Abi tells him it's hideous and Fiz will hate it. Beth agrees to make some alterations to the dress in the hope that Fiz will like it.

Desperate to raise the ?10,000 to pay back Mike, Summer calls Billy, Todd and Paul together and reveals that she and Aaron plan to go travelling for a year and need ?10,000. Sceptical, Billy, Todd and Paul quiz Summer about her plans.

Mike and Esther tell Summer and Aaron that they'd be willing to forget the ?10,000 and give them even more money if Summer will agree to be a surrogate for their baby.

Meanwhile, when Nigel announces that the theatre is flooded and the play cancelled, Ken secures the Bistro, asserting the show must go on. When one of the leads then breaks a leg, Martha comes to the rescue and offers to take her place.

As Martha introduces herself to Wendy, she apologises for stealing Ken away from her. When Wendy reveals that wasn't the case and she broke up with him, will Martha re-think her future with Ken?

Elsewhere, Daisy reveals that she has found a lump in her breast. On Jenny's advice, she tells a shaken Daniel, who insists he'll accompany her to the doctors.

Also today, as Nick and Leanne fret over their finances, Simon reveals he has lost his job, adding to their woes. Carla gives Simon a job on the Underworld sales team. Leanne's unimpressed as he'll be working with Jacob.

Finally, when Fiz finds Gemma modelling a wedding dress while Beth pins it, she wants to know what's going on.

Masking his anxiety, Daniel promises to meet Daisy at the medical centre. But as he knocks back drink in The Rovers, Jenny is horrified to realise he has let her down.

Announcing that Daisy might have cancer, Daniel staggers out. Peter persuades him that alcohol isn't the answer and Daisy needs him by her side offering support. As Daisy attends her appointment alone, they're interrupted when Daniel throws open the door and staggers in drunk.

Meanwhile, Billy is determined to stop Summer committing to the surrogacy plan at any cost. Having summoned Mike and Esther, Billy tries to lay down the law but Mike points out that the decision is Summer's, not his. As Billy reveals he intends to report them to the police, how will Summer react?

Elsewhere, Simon starts his new job at the factory. When Simon and Jacob spot someone stealing the factory van, they race over and apprehend the thief.

As the pair bask in their glory, Leanne is wounded to see them acting so matey.

When Nick reveals the Bistro repair costs are spiralling, Leanne sighs that they will have to dip into Sam's inheritance again. Nick hides his guilt at deceiving her.

Later, Jacob is hailed by Damon, a man he knows who is just passing through. Jacob is called to say a quick hello. Unimpressed, Jacob bitterly sends him on his way. Who is Damon?

Also today, Brian tries to show Mary a review of the play in the Gazette but she refuses to read it, convinced the whole performance was a disaster.

Finally, Griff presents Max with a new laptop to help him edit films and run the gang's social media.
