Are people not concerned about privacy on Facebook? I'm on there but you won't find much about me.

Its good to keep in touch with friends but that's about it. I guess I prefer the old fashioned way of social interaction

Privacy?
I have a few pics on there and my personal contact info is hidden away, someone said to me that the only way bad things can happen is if you put too much info out there. If you don't want people to know then I think don't post it!

I only add people I know in person or from online places like here. I've had three people in the last few days trying to add me, presumably to up their friends number as they didn't know me and one claimed to know someone who I don't and that justified their request.

I've seen some profiles from student union officers which are completely public and even have their address and phone number on Why would anyone announce something so public for the whole world to see? If someone wants my address or phone number they can ask for it.

I get random requests too and I ignore them. There are some requests I don't need to think twice about as when I get loads of requests from men and women in Turkey or Egypt I just ignore and block right away. I know I don't know anyone who lives there! Plus I have noticed in some of the groups I am in people from these countries just spam constantly

One of my friends has her mobile number and location where she lives and email address on show and I tell her to hide them away but she never listens to me!
