Toilet hygiene

I was actually surprised to day at college with the toilets, at high school we didn't have hot water or soap which i thought was pretty poor tbh. So i never went to the toilet. The one time I did, because I really needed to, I went into the staff toilets ha. They have soap and everything.

I always wash my hands, but tbh I think I have a bit of OCD about it! And in public toilets I'll take off a piece of toilet paper, put that over the thing to flush it with (if it's not one of the wave and flush things) then use that to open the doors. Because otherwiase you'd be washing you hands and then touching a door that someone who hasn't washed their hands, has just touched!

That's another thing. I try not to touch the door handle with my bare hands. God knows what diseases are lurking on there

I'm like that and I don't like touching banisters when I walk up or downstairs. Our toilets at the college are minging tbh I don't know how the cleaners are in a job as they spend most of the time out in the smoking shelter or in the refectory drinking coffee. The toilets only get checked once a day. I was my hands after I've used the toilet then I go back to my office where I have a bottle of dettol hand sanitiser and wash them again.

I am surprised when I go to the toilet at work when I see the girls that come through with their faces all made up. They use the toilet and rather then wash their hands they apply lipstick, do their hair and walk out! It is so sickening to see!

yeh, people need to remember this. Germs spreads!

I actually don't think germs spreading is a bad thing as being too clean isn't good for you either, but defo not the germs from the toilet.

Toilet germs are not cool

I laughed so much last week as we had an internal email from one of the managers it was an email directed at the men in the office. The message was warning them on the importance of toilet hygiene and the importance of washing their hands after using the toilet as it had been noted many were not flushing the toilet or washing their hands!

With the swine flu epidemic recently the office has now introduced more alcohol wipes for us to clean our pcs down but I think people are secretly using this for other things!

I went into work yesterday and we have to keep checking the toilets all day to make sure they're ok to use.. so I go and check them, and the mens toilets were absolutely disgusting!! Lets jsut say there was a niiiiice present all splatted around the toilet bowl.. in 2 of the toilets!! There was also a stupid amount of pee on the floor by the urinals and in the disabled.. someone left a big present in the loo.. and didn't even flush! Ladies weren't too bad but you find the odd surprise in there too! It's jsut beyond me how anyone can leave public toilets in a state like that?! I never would.. so why should anyone else?

You should leave it as you found it... or would like to find it!
