Norris is back! It’s been a long time coming but everyone’s favourite snarky shopkeeper is back – but he is selling The Kabin and engaged to Freda! Mary is going to have to get accustomed to Norris’ life changes but will she be prepared for a divorce? Iain smiled: ‘His return story is pleasantly silly and revisits his relationship with Mary in a meaningful way. I hope Malcolm likes it.’

He did not actually buy it but Norris began to worry about the possibility that he would have nowhere to live following Emily's death and so she signed the house over to him on the condition that she continued to reside there.

Norris is the legal owner but would have to sell the house with sitting tenant, I would imagine. Although Emily might have changed her mind about wanting to live there as she is now in Scotland and I doubt that Eileen Derbyshire will return as Emily ...
