    Hollyoaks Spoilers 03/08 to 07/08

    Monday

Rhys fears a dismal day ahead working in the Dog with Neville, so begs Hayley to keep him company. As the pair make fun of an oblivious Neville, Josh's appearance changes the dynamic and the atmosphere grows chilly.
Trying to ingratiate himself with his in-laws, Darren is charm personified and embarks on a mission to firmly position himself behind the bar in The Dog. Despite infuriating Josh and Rhys, Darren has the opposite effect on Suzanne who's given food for thought. Neville's also impressed by Darren's suggestion about loyalty cards and welcomes him to the team.
Rhys is perturbed to hear about Darren's new role in the family business and maintaining he can do better, the boys go head to head - Rhys's hen night versus Darren's loyalty card scheme - the loser having to walk away from the pub. As the competition heats up, all manner of dirty tricks are played.
Celebrating in the SU Bar, an inebriated Rhys is eventually brought home by Josh and a furious Neville sacks him on the spot, leaving the door wide open for Darren who's offered the role of assistant manager. Darren's back where he belongs and thanks to Rhys, it was far easier than he'd anticipated…
Meanwhile, Kris is in full-on professional mode when he tries to motivate Zak for a busy day ahead at the call centre. Zak, however, is unimpressed and tells him that he'll be in later when he's good and ready. At work, Kris covers for Zak when Sheila asks where he is, before telling him that she's recommended him for promotion to assistant senior supervisor (ASS).
Zoe's struggling to cope with the soul-destroying task and under pressure from Kris to sell, she finally snaps just as Zak makes a very late appearance. Sheila flies over and tells Kris that Zak has one more chance before he loses his job. Taking great delight in monitoring Zak's calls, Sheila is thrilled to collate all the ammo she needs to sack him and insists that Kris is the man to do it.
Against his better judgement, Kris tells Zak to leave the building and although he's in high estimation in Sheila's eyes, Zoe thinks that he's the lowest of the low.
Confronting Kris, Zoe tells him exactly what she thinks but Kris remains steadfast in his decision. Kris is later shocked when he hears that he's not welcome to Zak's leaving drinks and as the team head off, Kris is left alone to ponder if it's worth being Sheila's second in command…
Elsewhere, Cindy impresses Tony by her idea for a customer loyalty scheme in Il Gnosh and exuding brains as well as beauty, he's completely under her spell. With things going well between them, she also suggests that they should probably think about a family holiday with Holly and Harry. Tony agrees, much to Cindy's delight.
Searching through brochures, Cindy's dismayed to find that she has different ideas to Tony about the holiday, but soon those thoughts are swept away when he presents her with a toothbrush and the promise of a few nights a week chez Hutchinson.

    Tuesday

Carmel's stressing over the grand re-opening of Evissa, desperately wanting it to be a family affair. With the launch only a day away, Carmel quickly finds herself snowed under with all the work and on seeing how low she's feeling, Michaela and Zak 'Carmelise' the salon, turning it into a pink palace.
After discovering that she's has been sleeping in the salon, Michaela confronts her sister who admits that her feud with Jacqui is getting her down and she feels unwelcome in the family home. Michaela vows to mend the rift between her siblings by hatching a plan to put Jacqui out of business, forcing her to team up with Carmel.
Finding a flyer advertising spray tans at Evissa, a furious Jacqui heads over to confront them. Even when Michaela admits that it was her idea, Jacqui lays into a devastated Carmel.
Unable to cope with Jacqui's hatred, Carmel tries to win her over by offering her a partnership at the salon. Although initially taken aback, Jacqui quickly tells Carmel that nothing she ever does will make up for losing Max.
Meanwhile, Zoe's still furious with Kris after he sacked Zak but Kris continues to take his role as an ASS very seriously, ordering Zoe to get back to work. Zoe can't believe that her friend who used to be so against conformity could change so much. When she confronts Kris about his behaviour, he defensively issues her with a verbal warning. Kris soon realises what an idiot he's been and, much to Sheila's disappointment, steps down from his role, promising Zoe that he's still the same old Kris.
Kris and Zoe soon return to their usual gossiping ways and their work in the call centre remains as dull as ever. As they leave for the day, Sheila asks to speak to Zoe.
Zoe jokes to Kris that she's probably going to get sacked so it comes as a big shock when Sheila actually offers Zoe the job as ASS, listing all the benefits to tempt her. Much to Kris' outrage, Zoe decides to accept Sheila's offer.
Rhys is still angry after Neville sacked him from The Dog and promoted Darren to bar manager. Not taking their threat to throw him out seriously, Rhys continues to wind up Suzanne and Neville. When Rhys and Josh get together for a jamming session, Suzanne sees red but when Neville intervenes, Rhys is quick to remind him that he's not his dad.
Neville and Suzanne tell Rhys that he's got to leave, so Josh decides to stick up for his brother and threatens to leave with him. Not expecting his plan to backfire, Josh is stunned when their parents tell both him and Rhys that they have got to move out.

    Wednesday

Dom can't hide his pleasure when it starts to look like Cindy and Tony's relationship might be over. When Cindy arrives late for work claiming that Holly has been crying because she misses Tony, Dom accuses her of trying to manipulate his brother.
Throughout the day, Cindy continues to make mistakes at Il Gnosh and when Tony asks her what's up, she says that she wants to get back to how things were but Tony is reluctant. Once again, Dom sticks his oar in, prompting them to start arguing. Darren witnesses the row and as he shows genuine concern for Cindy, her resolve begins to weaken. However, the moment is broken when Hannah enters, looking for a job.
Cindy's hurt when she overhears Darren telling Hannah that waiting on tables is demeaning work. Another snide comment from Dom manages to tip Cindy over the edge and she storms out, leaving a job open for Hannah.
Afterwards, Tony feels guilty and his brother tries to talk him round but ends up making things worse. Tony heads over to Steph's flat but Darren's made it there first and when he turns up, he catches Cindy and Darren in the act. Tony walks away feeling like a fool
Meanwhile, Hayley's fed up of having Josh and Rhys dossing with her in halls. When Josh throws up in the living room and then blocks the hoover, Hayley's unimpressed and after the boys reveal that they've eaten Hayley's food and drunk her wine without asking, she kicks them out. At The Dog, Gilly's horrified when he hears Neville and Suzanne frolicking.
Now homeless, Josh and Rhys bump into Gilly on The Dog Patio. Josh is ready to apologise to his parents but Rhys is too stubborn and accuses Gilly of being a traitor. Neville tells the boys that if they can come to an arrangement over rent, they can move back home. Rhys refuses, telling Josh that he's found somewhere else. With that, Gilly's forced to pick sides.
Hannah's later gobsmacked to find that Rhys has erected a tent in The Dog car park. Gilly turns up and Darren can't persuade them to leave. Rhys decorates the tent with fairy lights and invites Hayley for a romantic evening.
As they enjoy their night in, Josh and Gilly play a prank on the couple, collapsing the tent on top of them
Elsewhere, Carmel wants everything to be perfect for the re-opening of Evissa. Jacqui watches on with disgust from Tan 'N' Tumble. However, when one of her dryers breaks, she's forced to ask for Michaela's help. Myra arrives to fix Jacqui's drive belt and Jacqui sees an opportunity to get one over on Carmel and asks their mum to work for her instead, cash in hand.
Later, Jacqui tries to lure Michaela across too, but Michaela sees through her sibling's snide tactics. While Jacqui's busy trying to budget, Carmel tries to make amends. However, when she sees Myra working for Jacqui, Carmel's angered.
Later, Myra goes to help Carmel with a jammed till, but as she's leaving, Jacqui threatens to fire her if she walks out. Jacqui's furious at being left alone again
Elsewhere, Cindy has all-but moved herself and Holly in with Tony and is feeling pretty confident over the way everything's panning out. Seeing Darren, she brags about how well her plan's coming together, only for Darren to remind her that he's still one step ahead as he's married to Hannah.
After being asked by Cindy who she prefers, Holly has pros and cons for both Tony and Darren, so Cindy decides to explain to Holly what prospects are and how Tony has more than Darren.
Later, while Tony is minding her, Holly brings up her earlier conversation with Cindy, telling a very uneasy Tony that she's aware he and Cindy will get married.
When Cindy returns, she's quick to laugh off Holly's suggestions but although slightly reassured, Tony's decided the relationship is moving far too fast and returns Cindy's toothbrush

    Thursday

All the McQueens apart from Jacqui are helping out at Evissa in an attempt to make a success of Carmel's new business. Jacqui's still not prepared to let go of the past and has isolated herself from the rest of her family.
Enlisting the help of Theresa, Jacqui manages to create a rift between the McQueens when Carmel blames her sisters for stealing from the salon. Checking the CCTV, they discover Theresa is the culprit.
After quizzing Theresa, it soon becomes clear that Jacqui put her up to the task. A hard-talking Mercedes decides to pay Jacqui a visit but although her harsh words touch a nerve, Jacqui still refuses to patch things up with her sister.
After receiving an ear bashing from Jacqui, Theresa also decides to tell her some home truths before leaving. Having had time to think, a lonely Jacqui soon turns up to apologise, giving Theresa a necklace she's been after. Pleased that they've made up, Theresa hands a stunned Jacqui something that arrived in the post earlier in the day - a postcard from Russ.
Cindy's convinced that her and Tony's relationship will be back on track after he's had time to cool down. She knows that she has got some making up to do after being caught with Darren the previous day. When she meets up with Tony, she's taken aback when he insists that he's sticking by his decision.
Determined to win him around, she heads to Evissa for some beautifying in the hope that Tony will realise what he's missing. Bumping into each other in the village, Cindy casually asks Tony if he wants to pop over later on. But before she can go any further, Tony politely but bluntly tells Cindy that he's happy with the quiet life and insists that they're over for good.
Meanwhile, Rhys is furious that Darren's being treated so favourably by Neville and Suzanne when he and Josh are sleeping in a tent. Seeing Suzanne hand Darren a bacon sandwich for his breakfast makes Rhys realise just how lucky he had it. He tells Josh that they need to come up with a plan to oust Darren. Their task begins to look harder than they first thought as Suzanne makes it clear that she's still angry with them.
After another argument with Darren, Rhys decides that he'll do anything to move back in with his family, so when he sees Josh with a bunch of flowers, he caves and joins him in apologising to Suzanne for being so selfish and spiteful. Suzanne eventually gives in to her sons' apologies and welcomes them back home.
Elsewhere, Hannah's still feeling isolated, especially with Nancy constantly snapping at her. She suggests taking Charlie the park for the day but Nancy practically throws Hannah out of her room, claiming that she has too much work to do.
At a loose end, Hannah visits The Dog and even goes to the lengths of asking Cindy if she fancies hanging out, an offer which is immediately thrown back in her face. After yet another argument with Nancy, who is in turmoil over a letter from Jake, Hannah's left upset when she's told that the world doesn't revolve around her.
Feeling lonely, Hannah begins to realise just how much she took her family for granted and in an effort to cheer her up, a genuine Darren offers Hannah a night in with a romcom. To their surprise, they end up having a heart to heart, which soon develops into a passionate kiss.

    Friday

Darren and an anxious Hannah wake after spending the night together. Darren's miffed by Hannah's reaction and seeing how up tight she is only serves to remind him what he's missing with Cindy.
When Cindy calls round in a flurry of activity, she's curious as to why Darren's acting cagey. Realising someone's in his bedroom, she's more than a little put out to discover that it's Hannah.
Later, in Il Gnosh, Cindy finds it frustrating when Hannah gives her relationship advice and tells her to hang in there for Tony. A seething Cindy insists that's just what she intends to do!
As Darren comes under fire from an angry Cindy, he stands his ground and tells her that she's only angry because his master plan is further ahead than hers - he's in there with Hannah and also back behind the bar at The Dog. Deciding enough is enough, Cindy finishes with Darren and tells him that it's time for her to focus all her attentions on Tony.
Taking his fury at Cindy out on Hannah, she's the next to be dumped and is floored when Darren states that there'll be no repeat performance of last night - what happened in his flat, stays in his flat.
Unperturbed, Darren has one final shot with Cindy and reckons that they should fleece Hannah and Tony together. Cindy agrees and the con is on…
Meanwhile, Hayley embarks on a plan to find Rhys a job and sets the ball rolling with a brain storming session to pitch an idea in a 'post graduate new business fund' event being held later in the day. Struggling to come up with an idea, Hayley becomes exasperated by Rhys's lack of enthusiasm until they hit on the idea of a starting a magazine for men.
Josh's arrival at the SU to practice for his gig causes a stir when Cheryl overhears that he's a muso. As Rhys heads off to see if he can obtain funding for his magazine idea, Cheryl insists that she and Hayley are supporting Josh all the way.
Totally in awe, Cheryl's smitten with Josh's rock 'n' roll lifestyle. However, picking up on the vibes between Josh and Hayley, her intuition soon tells her that there's a hint of attraction between them. Hayley's amazed by Josh's gig and is full of praise.
In typical Cheryl style, she tells Josh about his admirer and although both he and Hayley have admitted their attraction, they both realise that they're sailing in dangerous waters…
Elsewhere, Jacqui remains awkward around Carmel and even though her sister's going out of her way to be kind, Jacqui refuses to let her close. With the postcard from Russ consuming her thoughts, she wants to explore every avenue.
Chatting with Tony does nothing to improve her mood when he refuses to help financially by paying for a trip to France. Tony's attempts at making Jacqui realise that Russ and Max could be anywhere by now fails to register and she continues with her one-woman quest.
A concerned Tony airs his fears about Jacqui to Carmel and asks her to intervene. Biting the bullet, Carmel approaches Jacqui and offers her the Evissa takings to book her flight to France. Grateful for her sister's offer, Jacqui eventually takes the money
