I don't know. I haven't heard or read anything about his departure apart from these spoilers. Holby.tv usually have arrivals and departures up before it's confirmed in the spoilers but there's nothing on there.

I've not heard anything about that. I hope its true though, at least then he can't ever come back (thankfully Casualty don't do ghosts)
