It was back last night with Glee cast and Russell Brand

Alan was very funny as usual but I think he wanted to hump Will from Glee

Alan Carr has revealed spending time with his showbiz pal Adele is like hanging out with a nun - because the singer doesn't drink or smoke.

The Chatty Man host said he and the Someone Like You star - who underwent throat surgery last year to save her voice - enjoy nothing more than a quiet night in watching TV.

"She's always round my house, and I go round hers. We open a pack of HobNobs, cup of tea, watch Four In A Bed," he told The Sun.

"She's got loads of time off now so I see a lot of her. What with her losing her voice last year really worrying her, she doesn't drink, she don't smoke, it's like having Sister Wendy round."

But Alan, who returns with a new series of Channel 4's Chatty Man on Friday, admitted he and former Friday Night Project co-presenter Justin Lee Collins see each other less often now.

He said: "You have a good time, a laugh, and that's it... I still think Channel 4 could have used us more. Sometimes there's no chemistry but we really had it. We had holidays together. I'd go over to his house for weekends. But I haven't seen him in ages."

Meanwhile, the funnyman has told the Star he'd love to crack America - on his own terms.

"I don't feel I have to prove anything. I like being here and everyone gets my sense of humour. I think they may be too religious over there. Gay people only hit a certain target," he said.

"It's surprising who makes it in America - Russell Brand and Ricky Gervais yes, Robbie Williams, Take That, Oasis, no. You just don't know."
