Hollyoaks star Zoe Lister quits

Zoe Lister is to leave Hollyoaks after three years on the Channel 4 soap.

The blonde actress, 27, who plays film studies student Zoe Carpenter, is scheduled to leave in December.

Speaking about her decision to leave, Zoe said: "It's scary but also very, very exciting," adding: "I think three years in a soap is enough to do and you get to a point where you either make a decision that this is what you do or you want to try something different."

She continued: "I think that when you're an actor you don't imagine yourself in the same job for years so I think when you get in the same job for a few years you start thinking 'hang on, what am I doing this for?'."


Sounds to me like shes a bit unhappy on the show!

really I quite like her, one of the better students I think.

at least she'll leave at the end of her degree, which is good, means she can move away and it will be plausible.

I actually liked her through her numerous relationships, even with Mike. But agree that the whole lesbian thing ruined her character, they probably done it for the Late night show just to get more viewers, but her character just deteriated, the same seems to be going on with Sarah at the moment.

I think the time is right for her to move on, i loved her with Mike, but then they ruined her character. I hope she takes her awful brother with her.
