What is the truth, surely she has already told her the truth.
What I don't understand is how she just happen to come across Charity and Mackenzie in a layby. It looked like it was outside the village, she could not have been following Charity as she was not in a car. Was she just going for a walk in the woods? Another ridiculous contrived situation, one minute she is arguing and trying to scam money out of him, the next moment they are kissing. As much chance of this happening as me winning the lottery.

Cain could have charged the barn door with the lawnmower.
He could have levered the padlock off with the crowbar.
He is alright at breaking into places but can't break out.

Getting out of the barn would present no problem, if there was a gap between the double doors he could have found something thin like a saw and lifted the bar holding the doors shut, there must have been tools in the barn. Alternatively he could have kicked through some of the planks in the doors. The barn did not look to be that well maintained there was or probably a few place where the boards were beginning to rot. Again lazy contrived writing to force Cain and Moira to talk to each other.

Another case of when a character, Liam, tries to say something and the other character, Leyla, interrupts and will not let them speak. Anyway by "The Laws of Soaps" it is time to split them up so that "The Powers That Be" can match them up with other characters in the village. Is anyone ever allowed to be in a relationship with someone from outside the village. There must come a time when everyone in the village will have been paired up with everyone else, but it will take someone with better maths than me to to calculate the maximum number of combinations that are possible. Mackenzie being a new "outsider" has just increase the number of new pairings possible. .
