I have always seen her fall back but with a big smile ... guess which is why most of us thought she was happy to join James and Finn .. but of course, now we know she managed to get to Moira where she wanted her ... wracked with guilt ... which of course explains the smile

Your right - I remembered the smile but somehow thought she had taken off like a diver from the high board. It was shot from a different angle which probably confused me. This is the trouble with dragging out storylines for so long, it becomes difficult to remember what went before.

I think Emma deliberately provoked Moira so she would push her. Then her death wouldn't be suicide, which Emma considered a sin.

They did not mention the fact Emma did not sin as it was not suicide but Moira told Cain that Emma must have decided to provoke Moira into pushing her because she knew that Moira would not ever be able to live with Emma's death on her conscience and that it would break her

So now we know who killed Emma - but alas the story does not end here, probably stretch out for another few months while the police continue to investigate and Moira will be torn as to whether or not confess to it. - Suppose it will depend if Adam is charged or not.
