I'm really glad that Lauchlan has come down from the attic, I was getting really worried that he would fall through the ceiling. The boards he was standing on, only looked to be about a quarter of an inch thick.

Wonder if his family thought the noise he and Gerry were making was mice or 'bats in the attic'.

From the outside of the Home Farm house you can clearly see the windows that Lauchlan looked thru' to see Robert being beaten. Were the Whites never curious to see what rooms were behind them, or do they have so many unused rooms that could not be bothered.
