I don't understand why they had to go out for a lunch anyway, surely there was food in the house?? I know..to create drama, but still stupid reason.
Other than that beautifully done-like the cameras filming above the village as if Ashle's soul had gone to heaven, and then coming back into the house again. Laurel and Ashley in the end was heartbreaking...and so was the moment with Sandy and Ashley. The worry on his face was so real! 'What are we all going to do?!' Thankfully Gabby at least had that one previous occasion with him, but it would have been nice to see Ashley recognizing both Laurel and his kids, and maybe Sandy too. But it might have been too perfect...As things don't usually go like that in real life. Not everyone gets the chance to say that final goodbye for their loved ones. It was most important to Laurel. It'll hopefully help her to be strong for the others.

For a split second thought the Emma Barton and Ashley video was coming onto the T.V. Good to see Laurel left the drink in the bottle.

I found it all a bit weird... And boring. It was probably too much. I would have preferred to see Ashley appearing to Gabby in her dream... Would have meant so much to her as Laurel already was there when he died.

PS. As said before, 'Highway to Hell' ruined it for me, sorry. And the fact, that there was so many other things going on at the background. Ashley surely would have deserved at least one full half an hour episode for his funeral with no interruptions.

I agree, it should of been more Gabby centric, I mean Laurel had her chance when he woke up lucid before his passing, but she was too involved with getting more pillows for him, than talking to awake bloke.

Does anyone else not care a hoot for any of the thugs in the love triangle and their sick black mailer? As for whats her face having the second forced abortion, it could be perceived that she is using abortion as a birth control... was that why she has to wait a month?

They didn't play 'Highway To Hell' it was changed to 'Spirit In The Sky'.

Was it now? Well, sounded nothing like Ashley regardless. I know he had his funny moments and he was more than just a priest too, but somehow I would have thought his funeral should have been more suited for someone who was the pillar of the community for such a long time. It should have lasted whole half and hour with no interruptions-and even the second part should have been mostly about his family, and Ashley appearing to Gabby in her dream rather than to Laurel again. I was expecting his funeral to be something special and very moving, but it wasn't. Mainly because it was jumping into other things in the middle of it. And was there any other music in the funeral? Why couldn't someone sing or something...The only touching moment was Arthur reading the poem, but that was interrupted too. Yes he understandably got emotional, but maybe he could have finished it then right after or Gabby could have read it with him..The moment was gone then when it was read in the evening..Ashley on TV was too long and too weird.
