Thing is in a heatwave the boiler would not have been coming on regularly enough to create enough carbon monoxide to cause a real problem.
Emmerdale really should check out these technical details before embarking on stories like this.
he must have done more damage off screen to the house to cause carbon monoxide leak

Well he better undo it before the gas engineers find it. - They really should show these things on screen.

The episodes are filmed about 6 weeks ahead .. they would not have known there would be a heathave ..

Even without a heatwave most people turn their heating off in the summer, even in Yorkshire, unless they are constantly using hot water the boiler would not come on for prolonged periods. In an open plan room like they have it would take quite a while for the fumes to build up.

What nights episode did Lachlan kill Terry, I must have missed it unless it wasn't actually shown?

I think it was Friday when he saw Terry at a crematorium, then on Monday we saw him digging a hole in the woods, so altho' we did not see him kill Terry I assume he did so.

Like Pat Phelan on his wedding day to Eileen, Lachlan also had blood on his cuff clearly visible when he hugged Belle

Hope that wasn't a red herring to make us think he had killed Terry when he had not, only for Terry to reappear at a later date. - Or am I over thinking this?
