Bianca's still concerned about Whitney's lacklustre efforts towards her GCSEs, while Ricky warns his former love to be careful that she doesn't push Whitney away. Ricky, however, is shocked to learn that Whitney's biological mum Debra turned up out of the blue the previous week. As they're talking, Whitney's listening in the hallway and Tiffany soon interrupts her mum to reveal that Debra's on the doorstep. Heading to the front door, Bianca insists that Debra leave Whitney alone during the exam period, while Whitney reminds her how frosty their meeting was the previous month. The atmosphere between mother and daughter thaws slightly as Debra offers to start over again. Before Whitney returns to revision, she arranges for a drink with Debra in The Vic.
Later, Ricky's surprised to learn that Whitney's gone out for a drink with Debra. When Whitney returns home, Bianca apologises and explains that she doesn't want to fight with her any longer. Placated, Whitney mellows slightly, before dropping the bombshell that she's asked Debra to stay on at Pat's for a few days. Bianca's not happy in the slightest. Debra later turns up with her belongings and, ecstatic to see her, Whitney gives her a hug. A frustrated Bianca, however, takes the opportunity to warn Debra not to hurt Whitney or face the consequences.
Meanwhile, Ronnie has a fresh outlook on life, but her positivity is short-lived when they're interrupted by a phone call from Roxy about Amy. Later, Jack and Ronnie's business meeting is brought to a halt by Tanya's arrival regarding a problem with the electrics in the house (which Jack owns). Ronnie heads across the Square with Jack and she quickly suggests that they should evict Tanya and the kids to move in themselves - an idea that Jack quickly dismisses. Returning home for lunch, Jack's sure Ronnie has an ulterior motive. Things quickly become passionate but Jack mentions that he has no protection. Ronnie, however, claims she does, before heading to the bathroom and piercing a condom numerous times with a pin…
Elsewhere, Syed reluctantly agrees to meeting Parveen again; Chelsea's not excited in the slightest to be introduced to Theo's university friends; Parveen throws a curry all over Syed after their lunch date turns sour; and despite hearing of Syed and Parveen's argument, Zainab tells Bushra that there's a spark between their children.

Debra wakes after spending the night on the sofa but she's preoccupied with thoughts of meeting her contact so she can buy some merchandise. Bianca, meanwhile, is silently disappointed to hear that Whitney enjoyed her day with her real mum and following an argument over her exams, Whitney storms off to school. On her way, she spots Debra selling knock-off DVDs. Wanting to spend more time with her mum, Whitney decides to skip her exam again and Zainab's not impressed when she sees what they're up to. Debra soon turns the conversation to her intentions of starting a new life in Greece, but Ricky interrupts the pair to ask about Whitney's exam. Whitney lies that she attended the sitting, before Ricky mentions to Debra that someone's been looking for her around the market. Taking Whitney and Ricky by surprise, Debra bolts across the Square to Pat's.
Packing her belongings, Debra's further rattled when the police turn up asking after her. Pushing Whitney out of sight with the DVDs, Debra manages to palm the police off, before Whitney questions who or what her mum's running from and why she's actually in Walford. Reassuring Whitney, Debra insists that she's there to see her and that she, too, can go with her and start a new life in Greece. Later, Bianca discovers that Whitney skipped another exam and confronts her. Whitney, however, infuriates Bianca when she stands up for her mum.
In a rage, Bianca returns to Pat's and begins packing Debra's belongings, but Ricky stops her and insists that she's playing straight into Debra's hands. Realising that Ricky's right, Bianca starts gathering her thoughts. Over at The Vic, Debra has a bottle of vodka and pours some into Whitney's drink. On the second attempt at topping up her spirit levels, Ricky catches her in the act. When Debra goes to the bar, Ricky tells Whitney that she should be careful who she trusts. Whitney, however, reveals that she has every intention on leaving with her mum to start afresh in Greece.
Elsewhere, Amira returns to Walford having caught the bus and Syed's surprised to hear that her father is in financial trouble; feeling second-rate, Syed tells Amira to go home; Ronnie forces Jack to up the rent on Tanya's house; Syed's furious that Zainab's set him up on a 'date' with Bushra's daughter Parveen again; Chelsea's relationship with Theo begins to crumble; Tanya realises she can't afford the rent and reluctantly accepts a loan from Max; Zainab spies on Syed's 'date' with Parveen via a webcam, but she's quickly rumbled; and Lucas is surprised when Chelsea reveals that she thinks Theo will quite easily find someone better-suited than her.
thursday
Syed's fuming at his mother Zainab for spying on his 'date' with Parveen via a webcam, but gladly informs her that as they've been getting on so well, he's invited her for dinner. That evening, Zainab and Bushra are stunned when Syed announces that he and Parveen are moving in together, before asking for her hand in marriage. It quickly becomes clear, though, that it's all a joke. At that moment, Syed receives a text from Amira saying that she's outside the house. Syed sneaks her inside and hides her in his bedroom, telling her not to move. As they kiss, Masood walks in and reluctantly agrees to keep the liaison a secret.
Later, though, a bang can be heard around the dinner table and despite searching upstairs, Amira's nowhere to be found. Syed and Masood are left wondering where she's got to and unaware they can be heard at the dinner table, Zainabs forced to reprimand their behaviour and reminds them that they have guests. Brushing her son's hair and smartening himself up, Syed snaps and insists that he's not interested in Parveen in the slightest - just as she walks into the room with Bushra and Tamwar. When Zainab asks Syed if he thinks that the love of his life will fall from the sky into his arms, the wardrobe door suddenly falls open as Amira plunges into his arms…
Meanwhile, Chelsea and Theo head to R&R after a meal at the Argee Bhargee. Chelsea's soon approached by a charming and handsome young man who suggests that she find him in the VIP room later that night. When one of Theo's university friends Karn suggests they go back to his to watch a DVD, Chelsea declines but urges Theo to go with them. Heading to the VIP area, Chelsea locates the young man from earlier and recognises him as a Walford FC footballer. He reveals his name is Ellis, before leading her to a toilet cubicle where he kisses her. Despite Theo in mind, Chelsea kisses him back and he soon removes a wrap of cocaine from his pocket…
Elsewhere, Jack dismisses Ronnie's idea of having a holiday in her friend's villa in Spain; Ricky convinces Bianca to cool her anger towards Debra and she hesitantly apologies; Tanya seems to be missing Max more than she's letting on; Bianca's stunned when Ricky reveals that Whitney plans on moving to Greece with Debra, but Debra admits she knows nothing about the plans; and Ronnie's heard on the phone booking tickets to Spain for one adult and one child.

Bianca confronts Whitney over her claims that she's leaving to live in Greece with her mum and insists that Debra was lying about the move. Frustrated, Whitney asks Debra about the latest revelation and is upset when she admits that she won't be able to go abroad with her. Later, Whitney finds Debra packing her belongings and begs her mum to stop so they can start a new life together in Walford. Debra, however, runs out of the house but as she leaves, she hands an envelope to Whitney. She instructs her to look after it but never open it, before promising that one day, she'll return for it.
Meanwhile, Chelsea makes the walk of shame and sneaks back into the Fox household during the early hours. Denise catches her and presumes that she spent the night with Theo. Later, when Theo turns up at the house, Lucas mentions his all-nighter with Chelsea, but Theo's puzzled as their night ended early. As Lucas and Denise realise that Chelsea was with someone else, Chelsea suggests that Theo find a more suitable girlfriend. Will Chelsea give their relationship another chance?
Elsewhere, Masood allows Amira to stay at the house for a few more nights; talk turns to sex at the book club; Zainab's shocked at how quickly Syed has forgotten how Amira treated him a few weeks ago; it's clear that Tanya wants to get back with Max; Zainab tries to avoid Bushra but is pleased to hear that she wants to book Masala Queen for a large catering event; and Ronnie packs Roxy and Amy off on holiday to Spain, glad to have Jack all to her self.
