2541: Michael's fuming with Jacqui

Josh starts the day with an almighty hangover from his bender the night before, after Amy dumped him. Gilly and Rhys try unsuccessfully to cheer him up but Josh just wants to forget about Amy and suggests going the pub, despite it being before midday.
The lads are soon entertained by Neville who sings them an anniversary song he's written for Suzanne. But when Neville whips out his eight track recorder, Rhys's mind fills with ideas. He manages to convince Josh to form a band and Gilly happily takes the roadie position. After complaining about his missed opportunities, Josh is stunned when Rhys admits that he still has his uni place as Rhys called up and told them Josh had changed his mind about cancelling.
Anita wakes up in a bad mood as she watches a cheery Theresa get ready for school, while she has to stay at home after being suspended. She snaps at Bel when she enters her room and refuses to speak to her. Bel tells her that two of her aunts are visiting that day and wants Anita to wear her Salwar Kameez.
Instead, Anita sneaks out with Theresa who's bunked off school to meet some boys. The 'boys' turn out to be just one 'boy' called Jay and it's immediately clear to Anita that he only has eyes for Theresa.
Bored of playing gooseberry while Theresa and Jay snog, Anita heads home. As soon as she returns, Bel explodes at Anita for going out and grounds her. She then orders her to get changed and have lunch with her aunts. Fed up of being told what to do, Anita refuses to listen to Bel and cuts up her Salwar Kameez in anger.
Dominic is overjoyed when Loretta tells him that she wants to leave her job and is handing in her notice that day. She complains to him about how catty the girls can be and how she simply isn't enjoying working there any longer. She excitedly tells him that she already has an interview lined up for a place across town and gets herself ready to leave.
Dom's impressed when Loretta gets changed into a classy, smart suit but his delight soon turns into shock when she rips it off to reveal her stripper outfit. Much to his horror, Loretta's new job is still dancing - but at a different club.
Michaela's fed up as she's getting no peace living at the Barnes' when she should be revising for her exams. Myra is too busy mothering Lucas in Amy's absence to notice anything and even Mike, who's happy to have Myra's help, is blissfully unaware.
Michaela eventually persuades Mike to go through her revision notes with her but all hell breaks loose when she discovers that Jacqui has thrown her work in the bin. Michaela's infuriated even more when Myra takes Jacqui's side, telling Michaela to be more understanding with what she's going through.
Michaela escapes to meet up with Josh and the pair offload their troubles on each other, Michaela about her family and Josh about Amy dumping him. Feeling better, Michaela returns home but it's not long before more arguments break out when Jacqui discovers that Michaela's taken revenge for destroying her revision notes earlier in the day.
2542: Archie ruins Zoe's film project

Anita's having an identity crisis and starts to wonder if she might be better off if she was more like Theresa. When Theresa spends all her time gloating about her impending date with Jay, Anita decides to alter her own online profile and use Theresa's photo instead of hers. Theresa becomes curious of all the time Anita's spending on social networking sites. In order to protect her secret, Anita is forced to act with unreasonable discretion which only serves to irritate Theresa.
Satisfied that Anita has suffered enough, Lauren lets her foot off the pedal a little and suggests to Newt that she might be able to forgive Anita. The plan backfires, though, when Newt suggests that they go and see her. But as Theresa tells Anita that Lauren sent her the video of Anita being whitewashed by Gaz, Anita realises that Lauren has a role to play in her bullying. She confronts her and smashes her mp3 player in revenge - only to alienate herself further.
Loretta discovers that, having moved clubs, she's now lost her flat and is homeless. Dom goes home to spruce the flat up in the hope Loretta will move in with him. Loretta finds out that she'll be starting at the new club today and quickly satisfies Cindy's curiosity by offering to show her the ropes. Even more, Loretta promises to get her an audition. Cindy's annoyed when this raises little more than an eyebrow from Darren.
Just as Dom goes to fetch Loretta her newly-cut flat keys and diamante encrusted key ring, Darren unwittingly heads him off by offering her his spare room.
Following the disappointment over Loretta moving in with Darren, Dom's left reeling when Loretta is spotted by a punter from the club and he graphically relays to Dom his intimate knowledge of Loretta's body.
Rhys is unimpressed when Josh relays to him the latest verse of a song he's writing. Josh thinks Rhys is missing the point when Rhys suggests that the music's too bleak to get the girls. Rhys assures him that he's all about the music and proposes that they approach Kris about securing some airtime on the college radio station. Kris tells them he has no interest in playing their music on the station but when Rhys and Josh break out into an argument, Kris decides to air their bickering and is pleasantly surprised by callers' responses.
Rhys and Josh, bowing to popular demand, step up to the plate for a live session and in a moment of creative desperation, The Somethings are born. Kris suddenly gets stars in his eyes and realises the potential to ease himself into a managerial role. Instantly assuming his new guise, he starts to whip The Somethings into shape, telling the boys that what they really need is a female vocalist…
Archie rolls into Halls looking for a drinking buddy and discovers that Zoe's nearly finished her film. Using this as the perfect excuse to get back on it, Archie refuses to take no for an answer and enlists Zoe for prompt elevenses in the SU bar.
Zoe manages to embrace her brother's vulgarity for a few hours and there's a real sense of sibling camaraderie as they sink a few in the SU Bar and discuss their futures. When they return to halls, Zoe's putting the final touches on her film when Archie pops a bottle of celebratory Cava. To Zoe's horror, the bubbly sprays all over her laptop and in the blink of an eye, her film is gone…
2543: Loretta teaches Cindy some lap dancing moves

The humiliation is becoming too much for Anita to bear when she logs onto her social network site and sees another load of messages linking to the video clip of her being whitewashed. Theresa doesn't have time for her friend and is oblivious to her pain as she prepares to audition for the lead singer in Rhys and Josh's band.
Anita's cheered up when she talks to her online friend but she's soon deflated when an annoyed Theresa returns to discover that Anita's pretending to be her on the social network site. Theresa flips and accuses Anita of being a freak, leaving her in tears. Anita turns to desperate measures in an attempt to change who she is and uses household bleach on her legs.
Dominic's uneasy about Loretta living with Darren, especially when he asks her to teach Cindy a few lap dancing moves and sits down to watch. Darren's transfixed as the girls practice and Dominic watches him like a hawk. Tony's irritated when Dom and Cindy turn up late for work and he's waiting to take Harry on a fishing trip. But Cindy's not bothered when Tony docks her wages as she hands in her notice and announces that she'll be earning big money next week.
Loretta's worried that Cindy's heading for a fall as she doesn't even have the job yet. Believing that the job's in the bag, she begins dreaming of all the things she can spend her money on. Dominic's worried about Loretta's safety after the incident with the punter from last night but Loretta reassures him that she can handle herself. Loretta's angry when she senses someone following them on their way home from Cindy's audition, only to discover that the hooded figure is Dom.
Archie feels guilty after accidentally wiping Zoe's film and is concerned when he realises that she didn't come home last night. Kris isn't happy to be woken from his sleep but Archie needs help finding her, worried that she's going to fail her course and it's all his fault. Archie's relieved when Zoe turns up, but he's not in her good books as she's been up all night trying to salvage her work.
Zoe meets Adrian - her film studies lecturer - to discuss her film but she's crushed when he tells her if she hands in what she's done so far, she's going to fail. Adrian's sympathetic after hearing about Zoe's problems and gives her a four-week extension to start something new. Zoe's gutted - she'll never be able to start the whole thing from scratch and meet the deadline. Zoe's devastated as her dream of going to film school is slowly slipping away...
Rhys and Josh audition for a lead singer for their band. Rhys doesn't have much hope in Kris as their manager, but Kris insists he can make them stars - he's the king of the airwaves and has loads of kudos with the kids. But he's soon eating his words when no-one turns up to the auditions apart from Theresa.
Determined to keep things going, Kris decides to teach the boys a few dance moves, but they're not impressed. Everyone's disappointed that no-one's shown an interest in the band and are about to call it a day when Neville inadvertently gives Kris an idea. Kris decides to get people to audition on his radio show live on air… bring on Voice Idol!
2544: Bel's shocked by Anita's actions

Anita winces in pain as the realisation of her skin bleaching hits her. Desperate and alone, she allows Leila to enter the bathroom to examine her legs. Leila is distraught that her sister felt the need to do this to herself and before she knows it, Bel's discovered their secret and Anita's packed off to hospital. When Gov hears about what's happened, he misinterprets her desire to be popular as shame of her ethnicity. His insensitive approach only riles Anita further, spurring her to seek revenge on her father…
Loretta's avoiding Dom, having discovered that he was her stalker. Dom begs her for forgiveness, claiming his behaviour was through worry. He goes on to explain that he wants her to give up lap dancing. Darren's on hand to stir the situation, but both Loretta and Darren are silenced when Dom announces that his worry stems from psychotic Niall, who killed Tina.
After some time to herself, Loretta tracks Dom down in Il Gnosh. She boldly declares her love for Dom and agrees to quit dancing. An elated Dom resumes his work, arranging to see Loretta the following day. Left to her own devices, it's not long before Loretta has itchy feet. She betrays Dom and heads off to work at the lap dancing bar with the belief that what he doesn't know, won't hurt him.
Rhys and Josh squabble over whether to sack Kris as their band manager. Josh thinks he could get them great publicity, but Rhys exerts that the skirts on tour with them should be reserved for the fit girls, not their cross-dressing manager.
When faced with the prospect of gaining a new lead vocalist through Kris's radio competition Voice Idol, the boys go along with it, keeping Kris on board. But with the quality of applicants being so low, the boys are slowly losing the will to live.
However, when a mystery singer's demo tape is played, the boys are captivated. With no name or application with the entry, the boys set themselves a mission - to discover the identity of the perfect mystery singer.
Zoe's pulled an all-nighter in an attempt to to make up for the work Archie lost on her final university project. Fuelled with caffeine, her attempts seem to amount to nothing. She is cheered slightly by a flirtatious Darren, but is ultimately resigned to the fact that she's failed her course. Having witnessed Zoe laughing with Darren earlier, a jealous Mike approaches her and offers his help. Zoe's intrigued - could Mike be the key to her university success?
