    Emmerdale Spoilers 30 March - 03 April 09

    Monday, 30 March 2009, 7:00PM - 7:30PM

Leyla (Rokhsaneh-Ghawam-Shahidi) is grilled by Natasha (Amanda Donohoe) during her interview for the Home Farm job and flounders when the creativities in her resume come back to haunt her. After binning Leyla’s application, Natasha has a surprise visitor when Faye (Kim Thomson) turns up to interview for the same position. Outside, Mark (Maxwell Caulfield) arrives back from an errand and is horrified to witness Faye being welcomed into his home. Faye gives a faultless interview and Natasha is pleased to have found a like-minded soul. Mark is beside himself to find that Natasha and Nathan (Lyndon Ogbourne) have agreed to give Faye the marketing job. He secretly finds her contact details and hides them in his pocket. Will Mark make contact with Faye?

Meanwhile, Bob (Tony Audenshaw) prepares himself to break the news to his customers when the auctioneer arrives for a preliminary meeting. Bob panics about how he will tell Viv that their business is up for a quick sale and wonders how he’ll keep himself afloat afterwards. Brenda (Lesley Dunlop) also wells up with tears as the thoughts of her new life falling apart become too much. Will Bob go ahead with the sale?

Elsewhere, Paddy (Dominic Brunt) watches Chas (Lucy Pargeter) and Carl (Tom Lister) with a sense of unease ahead of the stag and hen nights. That evening the stags and hens realise that the Woolpack has been double booked for both celebrations and the men are forced to make other arrangements. Lexi (Sally Oliver) is pleased to have the chance to kiss Carl for the last time as a single woman and looks forward to her big day tomorrow.

The stags spend the evening at Mill Cottage and Paddy quizzes Carl about his feelings for Lexi. His non-committal response leaves Paddy desperately wanting the wedding to be over and done with. At the Woolpack Lexi storms out when Carl’s stripper arrives and finds Chas outside. They cofront each other with Lexi expressing her glee with how jealous her rival is. Chas denies that she has any feelings for Carl and tells her to make Carl happy. Lexi warns Chas not to interfere with the ceremony or she’ll destroy Chas. Can Chas allow the wedding to proceed in peace?

    Tuesday 31 March 7pm

While Chas (Lucy Pargeter) broods and Carl (Tom Lister) worries ahead of the wedding, Lexi (Sally Oliver) can’t contain her excitement. Carl suffers bad news when he’s told that both his kids are too unwell to attend the ceremony and his mood worsens as a result. Jimmy (Nick Miles) picks up on Carl’s obvious distaste for the wedding and his questioning uncovers the shocking news that Lexi knows he killed Tom. Jimmy gathers himself and says that nothing matters as long as they love each other but when Carl hesitates Jimmy realises they’ve got big problems. Carl storms off and arranges a meeting with Chas, leaving the guests waiting at the Church.

As Lexi reaches the Church Jimmy lies that Carl is feeling unwell and meaning he’s running late. Lexi doesn’t buy the lie and worries that her fears are coming true. At the cricket pavilion Carl works himself into a frenzy and urges Chas to say she loves him and he will call the wedding off. With Carl’s revelation still sinking in and thoughts of Paddy, Aaron and even Lexi on her mind, Chas’ head is spinning. Back at the Church Lexi is crushed and tearfully reflects on the possibility that she’s lost the love of her life. Will Chas admit her true feelings for Carl and sail off into the sunset with the man she’s secretly loved for so long and or will Carl save Lexi from a bitter humiliation and accept that his fate lies in a loveless marriage?

Elsewhere, Mark (Maxwell Caulfield) visits Faye’s house but is beside himself with fear when she isn’t at home. His search is interrupted by a neighbour who informs him that Faye has gone away. Back home he’s relieved to hear that Faye has turned the job down to go abroad and hopes that is the last they will see of her. However, he is niggled by the thought of whether Faye has some grander plan. As if metaphorically ridding her from his mind, Mark shreds Faye’s CV. Have the Wyldes heard the last of Faye?

At Butlers, the Sugdens help Victoria (Isabel Hodgins) to celebrate her birthday. However, she’s hurt when Daz (Luke Tittensor) confesses that Scarlett is buying their present and he hasn’t had any involvement. When Daz gets himself ready for the wedding Victoria tells him he looks good and there’s a moment between them. After promising to leave the celebrations early to spend time with her, Victoria is on cloud nine. Spending the day waiting for him, Victoria grows bored and has to content herself by helping Andy (Kelvin Fletcher) out on the farm. Andy, unaware that Victoria is actually pining for Daz, gives her the go ahead to see Aaron. Will Victoria ever get what she wants from Daz?

    Wednesday 1 April 7pm

Victoria (Isabel Hodgins) is emotional when Daz (Luke Tittensor) and Scarlett (Kelsey-Beth Crossley) reveal they’ve hired a sports car for her birthday to take her out for the day. As it’s only a two-seater Scarlett convinces a wary Daz to go out alone with Victoria. The pair soon get lost and when Daz moans that it was a bad idea Victoria gets out of the car and decides to walk home in a strop. Following her to a barn, Daz explains that he finds it hard being around her because of Victoria’s admission that she wants to sleep with him. After gently kissing her, Daz and Victoria give in to their feelings. Victoria covers her hurt when Daz assures her it can’t happen again. However, she turns on him and suggests that if he has no intention of finishing with Scarlett he can’t be allowed to get away with what he’s done. Is Victoria prepared to exact the darkest form of revenge?

Elsewhere, Aaron (Danny Miller) isn’t happy when Paddy (Dominic Brunt) cons him into accompanying him on his daily rounds. In order to get payback Aaron releases a snarling dog from its leash and watches in amusement as the animal corners Paddy. After watching Paddy fret for a few moments Aaron is delighted when Paddy clearly can’t control the unruly dog and has to help stop the dog mauling him. When the dog immediately settles in Aaron’s company Paddy realises he’s been had. Aaron explains that the dog just needs some TLC but Paddy tells Aaron with some regret that its owner has requested it be put to sleep. Aaron is annoyed when Paddy tells him he is too irresponsible to keep the dog. Will Paddy kill the best chance he has to bond with Aaron?

Also, Natasha (Amanda Donohoe) is suspicions of Mark’s (Maxwell Caulfield) grumpy mood on the way to a meeting with Pollard (Chris Chittell) to discuss renting the barn as a possible location for their farm shop. The Wyldes agree a price with Pollard and and Mark assures his wife that he’d do anything for her. After completing the sale Pollard is awkward as his son approaches. David (Matthew Wolfenden) is furious to find out about the change of lease and warns his father that unless Pollard can find him new premises, he’s not going anywhere. Can Pollard satisfy both his new tenants and his son?

    Thursday 2 April 7pm

Daz (Luke Tittensor) begins to worry when Victoria (Isabel Hodgins) blanks him at the farm, prompting Andy (Kelvin Fletcher) to ask questions. He’s relieved when Victoria holds her tongue in front of Scarlett (Kelsey-Beth Crossley) only to be told that she’s biding her time. Later, Victoria visits Aaron (Danny Miller) and asks if they can be mates again. That night the Sugdens have a family meal and Victoria continues to treat Daz with contempt. After daring her to say something Victoria says she won’t because she doesn’t want her own reputation tarnished. Daz is appalled to hear that Victoria intends to start seeing Aaron again but knows he has got no comeback. Can Daz contain his jealousy?

Meanwhile, on hearing that Jasmine is moving to a prison further away, Sandy (Freddie Jones) is fraught with worry and demands answers from the authorities. When Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) and Ashley (John Middleton) argue that they have no say in the matter he struts into the village and informs Debbie (Charley Webb) about the development, blaming her in the process. Debbie remembers her promise to Jasmine and worries for Sandy’s state of mind. When Diane (Elizabeth Estensen) drags him into the pub to keep him out of trouble, Sandy decides to start a campaign to reduce Jasmine’s sentence. Ashley is decidedly unimpressed when Sandy hires a solicitor to help with their cause. Laurel begs him to understand that Sandy needs to feel he’s doing something and to allow him to continue. Will Sandy make a breakthrough on Jasmine’s behalf?

    Friday 3 April 7pm

Sandy (Freddie Jones) meets with McNally (Steven Farebrother) to speak about his campaign but quickly throws the reporter out when their points of view concerning Jasmine’s incarceration differ quite dramatically. In spite of his setback Sandy calls a meeting of the villagers, keeping it a secret from Ashley (John Middleton). Ashley berates Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) for backing Sandy’s ‘free Jasmine’ campaign believing the outcome will just be a costly disappointment. Sandy battles on oblivious to the problems he is causing within the family. Will the Thomas family implode during the fight for Jasmine’s freedom?

Meanwhile, Natasha (Amanda Donohoe) invites Marlon (Mark Charnock) to tea in an attempt to satisfy her suspicions about Maisie (Alice Coulthard) and his relationship. Marlon wholly rejects the idea but Maisie changes his mind when she mentions how much fun their subterfuge is. Natasha and Mark (Maxwell Caulfield) delight in seeing Marlon squirm and when she points out that the only thing they have in common is that both Marlon and Maisie are still married, the battle lines are drawn between mother and daughter. As if to prove a point Maisie snogs Marlon, leaving him pleasantly confused. Despite her daughter’s best attempts Natasha remains convinced that something is wrong. Will she discover that Marlon is a fraudulent suitor?

I really hope they don't get married, but it makes you wonder with the Aaron and Paddy thing on Weds.

As for Daz and Victoria, its being dragged out to much and anything it could have been has now got boring.
