    2516: Justin's hauled in by the police

    With Josh's 18th birthday present on her mind, Hannah's on the hunt for a spare part for his motorbike. Successfully finding a supplier, Ash tells her to call him and he'll come and pick her up later. At the garage, Hannah encounters Lodz, the mechanic who proves to be as unhelpful as he looks. Realising she's being ripped off, Hannah pays over the odds for the part then calls Ash. However, unbeknownst to her, Ash is in full flirt mode in the SU and kills her call.

    Homing in on Hannah's vulnerability, Lodz is becoming increasingly creepy, causing Hannah to start walking. With yet another failed call to Ash, Hannah's desperate and her fears are magnified when Lodz pulls up in his car, offering her a lift. Hiding in some bushes, Hannah finally gets through to Ash's phone, but it's Justin who answers and without hesitating, sets off to find her. Taking Ash's car, Justin screeches off but attracts Ash's attention in the process.

    Eventually finding a grateful Hannah, they head back only to discover a furious Ash has called the police. Despite being the hero, Justin once again finds himself in trouble with the law…

    Warren and Sasha are living dangerously when Spencer makes an unexpected visit into the bedroom. Hiding under the duvet, Sasha revels in the excitement that seeing Warren brings.

    Carmel returns from her retreat and tells Jacqui that after cleansing her thoughts, she now realises how much she's missed Calvin. As the sisters talk, it becomes clear to Jacqui that Carmel still deeply loves Calvin and she encourages her to face him.

    Warren and Sasha have their second close call of the day in the Loft when Calvin arrives unannounced. Exiting via the fire escape, Sasha is thrilled by the danger. Warren asks Calvin to look after some drugs and then informs him that Carmel has returned to the village.

    Calvin and Carmel eventually come face to face and both admit their feelings for each other. Just as things appear to be back on track, disaster strikes when Carmel discovers Warren's bag of drugs hidden in one of Sasha's handbags.

    Assuming the worst, she breaks the news to Calvin that Sasha's using again, leaving Calvin no option but to come clean about his involvement with Warren. Carmel, disgusted and devastated by his behaviour, walks out of his life for good…

    Justin's wary of Ash and confesses his feelings to Elliot, who has more pressing issues on his mind. Elliot plucks up the courage to admit to Justin that he kissed Leila and Justin's a little put out by his admission. Elliot's ears prick, though, when he realises he referred to Leila in the past tense - he's thrilled they've split up. Justin and Leila have a run-in over Elliot and after telling Justin a few home truths, Leila flees with Elliot in hot pursuit. Elliot and Leila discuss their future and agree that for now, they should remain friends…

    Lauren jealously watches Newt and Anita's friendship grow. Sasha, on the other hand, has the flush of new love about her as she boasts how she's stayed out all night. Calvin soon dampens her mood and wants to know where she's been, but a successful white lie soon placates him.

    At school, Lauren's miserable but soon catches up with Newt and Anita. When talk turns to a poetry competition, Lauren is once more excluded from the threesome as Newt offers to help Anita practice.


    2517: Lauren's fuming over the poetry competition

    Lauren's in a vile mood, so Leo attempts to give her some fatherly advice. When they see Anita, he suggests there's no time like the present to make amends with her friend. As Lauren tries her best to infiltrate the gang, Anita's concern over the poetry competition grows and she confesses her panic over reading out loud to the class. While Lauren admits to Newt that she hasn't entered the competition, she begins to wish she had. Searching for a suitable poem to enter, Lauren remains unaware that Theresa is covertly watching on with a plan of her own.

    Leo manages to persuade Lauren to enter the competition, but on entering the class, she's furious to hear that Anita's reading out her poem. Unaware that Theresa has stolen Lauren's poem to pass off as Anita's, mayhem ensues and no one believes Lauren who claims that the poem is hers. Seeking revenge, Lauren singles out Anita and covers her in smoothie, causing Newt to step in and ban her from coming near them again…

    Hannah attempts to make it up to Justin after his arrest, but he remains cool and distant. When Ash arrives, he informs them he's going to make a statement at the police station. Hannah begs him to help Justin and he reluctantly agrees, so long as Justin apologises for taking his car. Unwilling to say sorry, Justin tells Hannah that the reason why Ash didn't take her call was because he was chatting up a girl.

    When Hannah challenges him, Ash talks his way out of the situation. With both Ash and Justin spoiling for a fight, Hannah has to step in and separate them. Ash plays a blinder and soon convinces Hannah that he's sorry for not coming to her rescue yesterday. Falling for Ash's smooth ways, Hannah realises that Justin also has strong feelings for her. Telling Justin that Ash has decided to drop the charges against him, Hannah's perturbed by his reaction as the attraction between them mounts…

    Jacqui's aware that all is not right between Carmel and Calvin and tentatively asks her sister what's happened. Jacqui's left concerned over Carmel's attitude and realises there's more to the situation than meets the eye.

    Over lunch, Jacqui tries to talk to Carmel again, but just as she appears to be opening up, Calvin appears. Jacqui's in his face as soon as she sees him and threatens Calvin to stay away from Carmel or he'll have her to deal with.

    At the station, Calvin bumps into Carmel and he's dismayed to hear that she's resigned as a PCSO because of his actions. As Carmel explains that she can't uphold the law knowing everything he's done, Calvin beseeches her to forgive him. However, unable to trust him after his lies, a devastated Carmel asks him for a divorce.

    Kris approaches Nancy and he struggles to get through her frosty façade, becoming aware that something's not right. Catching up with Ravi for a drink, they're both rattled when Nancy turns up unannounced, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere. A tense Nancy struggles to cope with the attention from Kris and leaves him reeling when she informs him she can't carry on their affair any longer, declaring that it's over between them.


    2518: Jacqui lashes out at Nancy

    Russ is incredulous to find Jacqui taking stolen goods from the bottom of Max's pram. As they argue about her lack of ambition, Russ suggests that she should gain some qualifications so she can offer Max a better future. Fuming at Russ's accusations, Jacqui takes his comments to heart. His words festering away, Jacqui quickly makes a decision and bursts into Russ's class at Hollyoaks High to confront him for criticizing her life.

    Russ eventually apologises for his outburst and is grateful when she leaves. When he later clashes with her again in the village, Nancy becomes involved and finds herself on the receiving end of Jacqui's fist. When Kris rescues Nancy, he takes her back to the flat to tend to her cuts, before promptly confessing his love for her…

    Newt's worried about Jack's attitude towards people and how he's not interested in getting a job. When a sheepish Darren turns up, Newt asks him to speak to Jack, but he's adamant that his words will hold no worth to his father. Nevertheless, Darren tries, only finds himself under fire when a bitter Jack turns the tables on him and makes him look at his own tattered life.

    Darren heads to The Dog and asks Neville if there's any way he'd sell the pub back to Jack. Nev, however, gently lets him down and asserts that even if he did sell up, Jack would stand little chance of obtaining his a licence.

    Meanwhile, Nev's increasingly wound up by the amount of passing men using the gents' toilets in The Dog without actually buying a drink. Darren is grateful when Nev offers him a job as a toilet attendant and a humble Darren finds himself employed once again.

    Anita has a plan to help Jack gain employment when she sees Leo covering for the lollipop man on the way to school. Theresa's uncomfortable when Gov becomes involved in poem-gate and the three girls find themselves hauled into his office. Anita's panicking over the meeting with her dad and insists he won't let it lie until he discovers the truth, which leaves Theresa no other option than to confess to stealing Lauren's poem. Anita's devastated by the admission and storms off.

    Meanwhile a tentative Lauren tries to apologise to Newt for her behaviour yesterday and ends up listening to his fears about Jack. When Lauren hears about Anita's idea of Jack applying for the lollipop man job, she kicks herself for not suggesting it herself. However, she has the last laugh when Gov insists he wants the £50 prize money for the Poetry Jam competition on his desk by tomorrow - if the girls won't own up over the author of the poem, he wants the prize returned!

    Nancy's finding life with Ravi uninspiring as the dust settles after her fling with Kris. Meanwhile, Kris confides in Malachy that his relationship with Nancy is over, but remains confident that she'll be back as she'll miss the excitement of being with him. However, reporting for his radio show, Kris is perturbed that there's no sign of Nancy and promptly calls her.

    Refusing to answer Kris's call, Nancy remains resolute that she's not running back to him. Wanting to prove that Nancy means nothing to him, Kris promptly calls Ravi and suggests they meet up. An afternoon of passion is soon underway when Ravi arrives at halls, but once the deed is done, Kris is angry when Ravi heads back to Nancy.


    2519: Russ is shocked by Nancy's revelation

    Jack's fuming after taking a call from the local education authority asking him about the lollipop man job at Hollyoaks High. Realising it looks like he's responsible for Mr Roy's involvement, Newt's dismayed by Jack's reaction and insists he had nothing to do with it. A seething Newt appears in class and tells them of Jack's fury that someone's been blabbing to Mr Roy. Convinced it's Lauren, Newt is shocked to hear Anita step forward and admit that it was her.

    Telling her that it was none of her business to interfere, Anita is devastated when Newt tells her to stay away from him and his family. Anita calls round and tells Jack that she's responsible for her dad's involvement, while Jack begin to thaw towards the idea.

    As Newt and Anita make friends, she also confesses that Theresa did steal Lauren's poem so that she could read it out for his benefit. Newt tells Lauren he knows what happened with the poem and wants her to drop the attitude about it - it's done and dusted. Thinking they're friends again, Lauren heads off to meet Newt, but is devastated to see him kiss Anita…

    Nancy wants to keep her head down, so ducks into Tan & Tumble to keep out of Ravi's way. Coming face to face with Jacqui, she makes a quick exit, but not before telling a smug Jacqui she's not worth fighting about.

    Ravi and Kris meet at the flat and just as they're getting down to some action, Kris has an attack of conscience and halts proceedings, leaving a confused Ravi to wonder what he's done wrong.

    Kris eventually catches up with Nancy and they both confess that his admission of love towards her has affected them both deeply. Refusing to face the seriousness of the situation, Nancy wants to know how a relationship that was once a bit if fun has now suddenly changed into something so intense.

    Unable to handle the situation, Nancy confesses to a shocked Russ about her affair with Kris, while also seeing Ravi at the same time. Steeling himself, he tells her about the time Ravi came on to him and waits for Nancy's wrath to explode…

    Darren's first day as toilet attendant doesn't go too well after he discovers the loos were trashed overnight. A smug Rhys appears and questions how it could have happened, leaving Darren sure that he was responsible. When Jack makes an appearance, Nev's happy to see him but Jack's in for a surprise when he learns about Darren's new job. Protecting his son from cruel jibes from Rhys, Jack soon sees Darren in another light…

    Jacqui's decided to apply for a night school course on Business Management. Russ is pleased, thinking it was his intervention that encouraged her. Refusing to give him any credit, she insists that she's been thinking about enrolling on the course for a while. Deciding to help her out with her interview technique, Russ invests some time with Jacqui but finds her manner exasperating. Defending herself, Jacqui insists they'll have to take her as they find her - she's jumping through hoops for nobody!
