    Detailed spoilers 16 - 20 Feb 09

Minty feels guilty for Garry's actions
Airs on Monday, February 16 2009 at 20:00 GMT on BBC One

Darren sees that Dawn is clearly distressed by Garry's disappearance and wonders if he should tell her about the voicemail from Garry he heard last week. Minty, meanwhile, is in the flat packing Garry's belongings away to send to Garry's mum, Hazel. Despite Dawn's positivity, Minty's adamant that their friend isn't returning. When Dawn suggests that Garry's not the type to commit suicide, Minty accidentally lets slip that it's not the first time he's tried. Garry's then forced to reveal details about his suicide bid when Lynne left him.

Afterwards, Darren finally tells Dawn and Minty about Garry's voicemail which said that all he wanted was for Dawn to love him. Dawn's furious that her brother didn't say anything sooner, while Minty's devastated by the revelation.

Dawn's moping in the flat and can't get Garry off her mind. Shirley suggests that she shouldn't have rejected Garry, prompting Dawn to show her the diamond ring. It suddenly hits home for Dawn that both men who proposed to her are now dead. As Minty confides in Charlie that they could have done more for Garry, we cut to a faraway bar in France where a man is watching a BBC News 24 report about a missing Walford man - it's Garry.

Meanwhile, Ian's decided to take a more hands-on role in the catering business and so decides to appoint Lucas as manager at the chippy. Later, there's a mix-up at the Masala Masood unit when Ian and Christian find Masood and Zainab cooking for a function. Ian reminds them that they have the Walford FC lunch to prepare for. Annoyed at the continuous mix-ups, Ian announces that he's going to be leading all projects from now on. It's not long before Ian sets down a dividing line in the kitchen to prevent the Masoods from encroaching on his space. After Charlie's delivery blunder, there's a vote as to who should be in charge of the new joint venture - and Zainab triumphs!

Elsewhere, Tamwar receives a mysterious phone call; and Ricky and Bianca receive an invite to Peggy and Archie's wedding, but all Ricky's concerned about is the DNA results.

Dawn gets the shock of her life
Airs on Tuesday, February 17 2009 at 19:30 GMT on BBC One

Heather's arranging Garry's memorial service and Phil agrees that they can hold it at The Vic. When Shirley offers to help, Heather brushes off her offer as she's still furious at her for last week's escort fiasco. Later, as Heather prepares a mix tape of Garry's favourite music in the launderette, Dot's unhappy to hear that the memorial is taking place in the local watering hole instead of a church. Mo rallies around the Square with a collection but Ian refuses to contribute as there's still no proof that Garry's dead! Garry's disappearance hits home for Dawn and when Minty arrives to say he can't get hold of Hazel, Dawn suggests he start planning a eulogy for his best friend. Still believing he let Garry down, Minty suggests that Dawn speaking would be more appropriate.

Offering a shoulder to cry on, Callum tries to comfort Dawn but she blasts him for trying it on with her. Furious about her accusations, Callum is blunt: she didn't care about Garry when he was alive, so why start caring now he's 'dead'? With the memorial service underway, there's plenty of food but Dawn's late. She arrives just in time to deliver her speech, followed by Heather, Phil and Minty. Just as Dawn's saying her final words, Garry walks into The Vic, stunning the locals into silence...

Meanwhile, Darren's returned to work at the car lot but Libby's not happy in the slightest about his decision. As Darren explains that he has no choice but to work for her, Janine seizes the opportunity to mock Libby for her geeky nature. Despite Mo mocking Darren's new status as forecourt sweeper, Darren's excited when Janine shows him a new car that she's brought in for him to sell. Back at home, as Libby's searching for jobs, Chelsea mentions that Janine used to be a hooker. Libby quickly begins to question Janine's intentions towards Darren.

Elsewhere, Tiffany, Liam and Dotty cause havoc on the cab switchboard; Ricky and Bianca are still waiting for the DNA results; Lucas and Ian come to blows over Lucas allowing a homeless person to sit in the chippy to keep warm; Masood, Zainab, Jane and Christian coin a new name for their catering businesses when they opt for 'Masala Queen'; Jane and Ian have a romantic meal; and Zainab suspects Tamwar could have a secret girlfriend.

Dawn gives Garry a second chance
Airs on Thursday, February 19 2009 at 19:30 GMT on BBC One

The locals in The Vic are still reeling from Garry's Lazarus act as they all thought he'd committed suicide. Garry explains that his car had been stolen while he was headed to France and before he knew it, his 'death' was all over the news. As Garry continues to talk about his time away, Mo's hassled by everyone for the money that they put into his memorial collection. Lucas, meanwhile, suggests that Garry's time away may have changed him.

Dawn's still coming to terms with Garry's rising from the dead. In the Square gardens, she bumps into the local homeless woman called Pearl and the pair have a heart-to-heart about love. Garry suddenly interrupts them wanting to speak with Dawn. He reveals that he can't continue being torn the way he is over Dawn any longer. However, frustrated by the situation, Dawn heads off to the cafe, where she finds Minty. After a couple of to-the-point chats with Minty and Shirley, Dawn makes her decision. Garry resigns himself to a life outside of Walford, just as Dawn appears and agrees to give him a second chance.

Meanwhile, Tanya's reading the latest book 'Fortunes of Desire' for the book club. As she turns up at Zainab's with Jane and Heather, Zainab's reeling when Bianca rolls up, too. As the women begin to talk about the characters in the story, their dialogue soon turns to Ricky and Bianca's relationship. In the Square, Tiffany bumps into Garry and asks if he saw Wellard in heaven. When Garry drops Tiffany back at home, Ricky's furious to find Tiffany's finger paint all over the walls and suggests that she start behaving more like Liam. Tiffany shouts that she hates him and Ricky suddenly realises he's crossed the line - he doesn't even have the DNA results back yet.

Elsewhere, Libby's still concerned about Janine's 'friendship' with Darren, and Chelsea doesn't help matters in the slightest.

Whitney's carted home by the police
Airs on Friday, February 20 2009 at 20:00 GMT on BBC One

Bianca's sitting at the kitchen table glaring at the paternity test results before informing Ricky that they've arrived. Before Bianca can reveal whether he is Tiffany's father or not, Tiffany enters the room and sits on his lap. With her nerves having reached boiling point, Bianca tells Ricky to find her at work. Later in the café, Ricky waits with bated breath for an answer from Bianca. She nods in his direction and Ricky is taken aback by her answer. Bianca, however, worries how Whitney will take the news, as Tiffany is one of the only 'links' to her real father, Nathan.

Bianca decides to cook a family meal, while Ricky tries to comprehend the fact that he has a daughter. When asked if it will change anything between them, Ricky reluctantly says 'no'. Liam, meanwhile, picks up on the air of secrecy and questions whether someone's pregnant or leaving Walford. Sitting down to the meal, they hear the front door slam and when Ricky rushes into the hallway, he's staggered to see Whitney and a police officer standing behind her – Whitney's been caught stealing. Bianca's furious, but when Ricky removes the lock from Whitney's bedroom door, they're stunned to find the room filled with stolen goods…

Meanwhile, it's Tanya's birthday but she's preparing for her court appearance, worrying that she could face another stint in prison. Max takes care of the kids in her absence and when she doesn't return on time, both Max and Jane worry that she's been sent down. Searching for Tanya on the Square, Jane finds her in the café where she reveals that she's been given a suspended sentence. Tanya realises that she's got to put the events of the last few months behind her and put on a brave face for Abi and Oscar. Walking back into the house, Tanya acts surprised and celebrates her birthday with her children.

Elsewhere, Garry's content with his new relationship with Dawn, but Dawn's already planning a few changes for him; Lucas hangs up his apron, prompting Ian to question his attitude towards others; Shirley enlists Heather's help for The Vic's St Patrick's Day celebrations; and Tamwar sends a mystery e-mail…

Bianca has finally received the results of the paternity test, but her plans to discuss them over a special family meal don't happen as Whitney turns up late with a police escort.
