I agree totally. The reason is that they are two long established and experienced actors. Dot is not in EE for the totty-factor and I've yet to hear anyone saying Jim Branning is soooooooo fiiiiiiiiittttttttt. More characters like these two and less of the wooden ones. More stories for Dot and Jim less Shannis, Zonnis, Molfie and Kalfie

Couldn't agree more about the Shannis thing. Dennis and Sharon got far to much air time when they were around.
