Spiralling in the wake of the loss of her unborn baby, former addict Krista slips back into taking drugs ? but when Aaron catches her, she might just be able to get away with it.

This week in Neighbours, Aaron (Matt Wilson) and Krista bond over their recent tragedies ? it was only in February that Aaron lost his husband David (Takaya Honda) to a vicious assault. When Krista comes across him drowning his sorrows at The Waterhole, she pressures him to let her join in a drink, despite her being sober for several months.

When Aaron sees the pain she?s in, he reluctantly agrees. What harm could just one drink do?

?Partying with Aaron is giving her a relief she can?t feel anywhere else,? Majella says. ?It?s like finally being free of her nightmares.?

The next morning, Aaron takes off for his former home in Daylesford in country Victoria. He?s left Erinsborough to reconnect with David?s memory ? but doesn?t realise that Krista, worried about him, has followed him.

Aaron appreciates the unexpected support, and the pair bond ? that is, until he discovers a bag of pills in Krista?s bag. But it?s what he does next that will shock.

Old habits die hard, and now that Krista is off the wagon, she risks not only losing her job at Lassiters, but sabotaging her relationship with heron-off boyfriend Leo (Tim Kano), from whom she?s hiding her addiction.

?Her biggest fear is losing Leo,? Majella says. ?She can?t imagine being without him right now, but she can?t help but fall into old habits.?

An embarrassing rumour threatens Karl and Susan's marriage even more

A distant Susan returns to Ramsay Street this week, only to walk straight into rumours about her husband Karl that could derail their already troubled relationship.

While Susan (Jackie Woodburne) has been away, someone has been leaving faecal matter throughout Erinsborough. And when Karl (Alan Fletcher) takes a new route with a cycling group, they see that a huge billboard that's advertising Eirini Rising - the retirement community development that has Karl's photo on it as the "resident doctor and wellness expert" - has been vandalised, calling him the Erinsborough "pooper".

"When Susan hears the 'poo story', her response is something along the lines of, 'Oh Karl, what have you done now?'" Jackie, 68, tells TV WEEK. "She believes he's innocent, but isn't surprised he's involved - it's all very Karl."

When Susan is offered a job as the operations manager of Eirini Rising, which could make her Karl's boss, she hides it from her husband to protect him while she considers the opportunity.

Over a tense dinner, the couple have to decide if their relationship can survive a shift in the power dynamic if she accepts the job.

"Susan and Karl have never worked together in a professional capacity where there's so much at stake," Jackie explains. "She's thrilled at the thought of being the boss, but is practical enough to know it could lead to trouble at home." "
