MEMBERS of the Polish version of EastEnders were hauled in by cops yesterday after going on a massive bender in Eastbourne.

The director of Londynczycy - translated as Londoners - was held after police were called to a rowdy pub party.

Maciej Migas spent the night in a cell at the police station in the genteel south coast resort.
Assistant director Krzysztos Lukascewicz and another crew member were also held as they enjoyed a bender with members of the cast.

Filming of scenes for the former Eastern bloc soap - pronounced Lohn-deen-chee-tsee - had to be halted. A source said: "Everyone from the show went out on a proper bender - there were about 20 of them - but things got out of hand.

"In the end, the police ended up arresting the director, the assistant director and another chap. But they did have to calm everyone else down."

The boozy party was held at the The Hydro, opposite the cast's hotel.

Londynczycy was launched last year after figures revealed there are 1.2 million Polish immigrants living in the UK and roughly 200,000 in London. It has a £3million budget and it attracted nearly six million viewers for its premiere in Poland. The soap is also shown in the US.

Some of the plot lines have been drawn from real stories told to writers by Poles living in North London.

A Sussex police spokeswoman said: "Three males were arrested at 2.45am on Tuesday morning for breach of the peace." All three were released after a caution.
