some more detailed spoilers in case anyones interested:

    monday
Max is still on the life support machine, while on the Square, Jack's frustrated that the residents of Walford are talking about Max's accident. Tanya's quick to tell Jack that D.I. Turner is there wanting to talk to him. Turner points out that if Max wakes up, Jack could be finished as he's their prime suspect. The girls have heard that the police are at the house and ask Tanya if they've come to arrest Jack. As she reassures them, she looks uneasy. Across the Square, Dot's preparing to leave for the hospital, while Bradley continues to refuse to give it a second thought. As Jack's walking out of the house with Turner, D.I. Keeble and D.C. Byford approach, with Keeble announcing that she's taking over the case. She wants to interview Jack down at the station.

Various Albert Square residents watch as Jack's bundled into the police car, while Ronnie looks unnerved as to his predicament. Inside the house, Keeble stays behind in the hope of chatting to Abi about the accident, but Tanya's not pleased. As Tanya shows Keeble out, Keeble reminds her that they'll need to talk to Abi at some point. Back at the station, Keeble questions Jack about the accidents - more importantly telling him that some of the injuries Max sustained don't tie in with the car accident. Later, Jane heads across to see Tanya and when she opens the door, the pair hug and Tanya breaks down.

Inside, Tanya starts to open up for the first time, expressing her concern about the accident - Jack wasn't with her when it happened. Over at The Vic, Ronnie's heading inside but is stopped by D.I. Turner, who wants to question her. From across the Square, Ian feels guilty when he sees Jane unloading Jack and Tanya's van, and so heads across and offers them some hot food before asking Tamwar to enlist Jane in the comic show. When the uniformed officers leave, Jack pulls Turner to one side. Turner confirms that Ronnie's given him an alibi - they need to hope that she'll stick to it.

Elsewhere, Ian and Jane speculate about who could have run Max over; Callum and Danielle are talking about the accident but Stacey looks uneasy as a uniformed policeman approaches; Tamwar encourages Jane to perform with him at The Vic; Shirley, Roxy and Archie discuss recent events in The Vic; Ronnie tells Roxy that she declared her love for Jack on the night of Max's accident; Ian's furious with people using the toilets in the café without buying anything; Jane snaps at Peggy when she hears her gossiping about the Brannings; Ronnie goes to Roxy's antenatal appointment instead of Sean; Ian installs new combination locks on the toilets in the café; Bradley's unsettled; and Stacey tells Callum she doesn't want to see him anymore.

    tuesday
Over breakfast, Tanya's worrying about losing the deposit on the house in France, but Jack reminds her that they have more important things to think about. Quietly, they talk about the police wanting to talk to Abi - what exactly did she see? Meanwhile, at Dot's, Bradley emerges from upstairs and Dot suggests that he eat something. Instead, he storms out. Later, in the café, Jane's returned from shopping with bags of new clothes for the comedy night and hears Zainab say that Abi saw who ran down Max.

The police begin asking Abi questions about the night of Max's accident. Abi reveals that she looked out of the window from her dad's house and she heard a car screech. She adds that it all happened so quickly that the next thing she remembers is seeing Max lying on the ground, and confesses that she couldn't identify the driver. With Abi seemingly becoming agitated, Tanya suggests that the police leave and return at a later date with any further questions. The police explain to Tanya that they are trying to solve the case but want what's best for Abi. Before leaving, they ask Tanya about Jack's past relationship with Ronnie, as Jack's claiming he was with Ronnie at the time of the accident. Tanya's stunned into silence.

Later, the police turn up at Dot's looking for Bradley, while Bianca delivers some food to Tanya's. When she's at her front door, Bianca asks Tanya whether Max is going to die, before Tanya slams the door in her face. Bianca feels terrible as she glances down at the journalist's card in her hand.

The police question Bradley, immediately asking why he's not been to see Max in hospital yet. Bradley admits that he hates everything about Max as he's ruined his life. At Tanya's, Jack asks her what Abi's told the police, but Tanya glosses over the topic. She then broaches the subject of Jack's alibi and confronts him about 'being with Ronnie' at the time of Max's accident. Jack insists that he just needed an alibi and didn't want to put Tanya in a predicament of having to lie for him. Dot returns home to find Bradley sitting alone in the kitchen, where he assures her that the police won't be asking him any more questions about Max's accident. Dot looks on, concerned for her grandson.

Elsewhere, Ian shocks Jane when he hands her a wad of cash to buy a new outfit for the comedy night at The Vic; Archie winds up Sean over Roxy's birthing plans; Shirley's furious when she hears that Phil and Suzy are sending Ben home from their holiday on his own; Ian finds it hilarious when Callum tries to get into the newly-locked toilets in the café; Sean moans to Stacey about Archie's controlling nature; Tony's hesitant about arranging anything for his birthday; Zainab's frustrated that Tamwar's concentrating on his comedy rather than his Oxford entrance exam; Roxy explains to Sean that she wants her family to be around her; Ben moans to Shirley about how annoying Suzy is; Jane finds Ian locked in the café's toilet; and Sean reminds Roxy that their baby's going to be a Slater, not a Mitchell.

    thursday
Following her decision yesterday not to see Callum again, Stacey ignores his calls and stays in the house. However, Jean becomes too much for her to handle inside, so she decides to make a break for freedom. Next door, Dot catches Bradley off-guard with a suitcase and he admits that he's leaving. Dot tells him that he's running away from his problems when instead, he should do the right thing and visit Max in hospital. Leaving Bradley alone to think things though, Dot leaves and heads for the hospital. She bumps into Stacey in the market and when she asks how Bradley is, Dot reluctantly admits that he's in a bad way. Back at home, Stacey breaks down in front of Jean - she blames herself for the state of the Branning family.

At the hospital, Dot places a photo of Max and Bradley on his bedside table. Bradley pops across to Tanya's to let them all know that he's going away on a business trip for a while, but when Lauren hugs him, he has second thoughts about leaving. While Dot's sitting with Max, she's delighted when Bradley walks into the room. Dot and Bradley reminisce about the good times with Max and suddenly, everything hits home and Bradley starts to cry. Dot leaves Bradley alone with Max and as he wipes away the tears, he moves close to Max's head and whispers: "Do you want the truth Dad? I'm glad you're here. I wish it was worse. If it was up to me you'd never wake up."

Meanwhile, Bianca's making a fuss of Tony as it's his birthday - she's even decided to take the day off for him. Whitney, however, isn't happy. She questions him as to how they can spend their life together when Bianca's made plans, but Tony doesn't look bothered and walks out. Later, Bianca asks Whitney if she'll make herself scarce in the evening so she can spend some quality time with Tony. Whitney agrees but the thought of it angers her. Whitney decides she's not going to the fireworks, but Pat won't take no for an answer. When Pat and the kids return from the fireworks, Pat assumes Bianca and Tony have had an early night. Whitney looks crestfallen. Later, Whitney hands Tony his birthday card and reminds him that she's counting down the days until her 16th when they can be together.

Elsewhere, Sean and Roxy look for houses together; Ian's not impressed that he had to spend the night in the café's toilet; Ian's hurt when he realises Jane used him as inspiration for her comedy routine last night; Callum arranges a table at Fargo's for him and Stacey and she reluctantly turns up, but Callum soon puts his foot in it; Sean suggests that he and Roxy leave Walford; Callum asks Stacey to hear him out; Archie finds Sean and Roxy a house and offers to pay the first year's rent; Ian receives a call from a talent scout for Jane and quickly offers to be her agent; and it appears Callum's keeping a secret from Stacey...

    friday
Abi and Lauren are concerned about Max, but Tanya tries to allay their fears. Later, Dot tells Tanya that the police have called Bradley to arrange a second interview, while Bradley's determined to keep busy. Tanya's worried that the police are still interviewing people and is shocked to learn that the police have found Jack's fingerprints on the steering wheel of Darren's car. Jack protests his innocence to her and reminds her of the day he gave Darren a driving lesson. The police, however, want to speak to Tanya before seeing Jack.

Tanya decides to visit Max in the hospital. When she gets there, she's curious as to why Jack's turned up too. As they talk about how much they despise Max, Dot overhears their conversation. Tanya's extremely apologetic to Dot about her outburst and suggests that the whole family get together for lunch. Dot, thinking it's a lovely idea, calls Bradley. At home, Abi's upset that she can't see her dad, while Lauren questions Tanya about the investigation. Feeling the pressure, Tanya confesses the earlier events of the day and reassures the girls that Jack will be fine.

Over dinner, Bradley changes the subject when Jack begins to ask him about his interview with the police. After an outburst over dinner, Lauren locks herself in her room, while Tanya attempts to talk to her about everything. When she's finally inside, Lauren tells her mum that she feels guilty for the whole situation, since she was the one who copied the DVD last Christmas. Tanya comforts her - it would have been exposed at some point, whether she'd copied the DVD or not. They're interrupted by the doorbell - it's D.S. Keeble wanting to speak with Tanya. Keeble begins talking to Tanya about the 'inconsistent' marks on Max's body. As Tanya denies any knowledge of a violent attack, Lauren marches into the room and is insistent that she speak with Tanya.

In the kitchen, Lauren reveals that she knows what happened to Max, leaving Tanya in a state of shock.

Elsewhere, Ben begins packing to move into Suzy's house; Sean is suspicious of Archie's change in attitude; Heather invites Shirley to the dogs; Shirley complains of being sex starved; Archie prepares a meal for the Slaters; Stacey confides in Danielle about the strange marks Callum has on his thighs; Ben rushes over to Shirley and Heather's flat; Archie tries to discover more about Sean via Jean; Sean's frustrated about not being able to afford to move out and reluctantly accepts a loan from Archie; and Ben confesses to Heather and Shirley that he's worried about moving in with Suzy.
