Coronation Street star Tupele Dorgu has confirmed that she is engaged.
The actress, who plays Kelly Crabtree in the ITV soap, told Corrieblog that she was stunned when boyfriend Mark Flanagan popped the question.
She said: "I was absolutely flabbergasted when he proposed. I didn't know what to do and I was like, 'Wow, this is my proposal and this is what happens!' It hit me that he didn't have a box so I as thinking, why has he not got a ring? He must know me well enough to know I'd want a ring!
"I was playing with this box of mints and I was a bit nervous. I opened the box and the ring fell out! That was when I burst into tears because I realised he had planned everything!"
The 30-year-old also revealed that she feels uncomfortable when male fans flirt with her.
"It's mortifying when people chat me up because they recognise me from Coronation Street!" she admitted. "You think, that's really sweet and you're a fan but I'm not going to have a relationship with you because it's weird."
