Monday 18th August
Donna is astounded to spot someone who looks suspiciously like Freddie when she is viewing some CCTV footage at work. Ross tries to calm her down but Donna is determined to investigate and decides to pay a visit to the shop they saw Freddie going into.
The shopkeeper recognises the man and provides an address for him. At the house, Donna is gutted when Ross informs her that no one is at home and they should call it a day. A determined Donna tries to convince Ross to stay with her and is determined to stay at the house until Freddie returns sure it is the last chance for her mum and Bob.
Nicola is delighted to hear that Rodney has finished his latest story and Rodney is convinced that he will be able to win back Diane’s faith with his new tale of ‘Rollercoaster Rod and Dynamic Di’.
Rodney and Nicola persuade Diane to read the new story and both wait with equal apprehension. Father and daughter are both delighted when Diane is pleased with the latest instalment. However, will Nicola cunningly manage to get hold of the manuscript?
Tuesday 19th August
After a night on guard outside Freddie’s house, Donna is torn when she realises her mum’s court case will be starting shortly. Deciding that this may be her mum and Bob’s last chance, she decides to wait it out. When Freddie emerges and starts to load a suitcase in a car, Donna runs over and tries to arrest him.
Freddie is taken aback and chucks the case at her. Ross charges over and attempts to grab him but Freddie punches him in the face jumps in the car and speeds off. Donna orders Ross back into the car and gives chase. Ross calls for back up and urges her to slow down but Donna is determined and puts her foot down. A kamikaze car chase ensues. With her mum’s freedom hanging in the balance, will she reach him in time to clear Viv’s name or does further tragedy await her?
Having secretly sneaked off with Betty’s keys, Pearl heads into Keepers Cottage to try and steal her quilt back. Pearl is shocked to be caught red handed by a half-naked Turner.
Later that day, Turner pays Pearl a visit and asks to take the quilt back. Pearl refuses and they end up in a tug of war resulting in the quilt being torn. Turner is horrified and he offers to help Pearl mend it.
Getting on famously, Pearl and Turner reminisce as they mend the quilt. They agree that it’s a shame to end your life alone and Pearl is shocked when he leans in for a kiss. Turner is mortified but Peal kisses him back to prove she is flattered.
Wednesday 20th August
With yesterday’s events playing heavily on her mind, Viv tells Bob that she has decided to change her plea to guilty. Bob begs for her to change her mind and swearing he will never forgive her he manages to make her promise to keep fighting. Back at the court, will Viv keep her promise to her husband?
Diane tells Nicola and Paul that she is donating a bag of her old clothes to their quilt making project, and she and Paul enjoy Nicola’s misery as she begins the laborious process.
Later that day, showing Rodney their handy work, Paul is shocked when Rodney notices that it contains a piece of material from a blouse that Andy and Daz got Diane for her birthday last year. Will Paul and Rodney realise that they have mistakenly used Diane’s dry cleaning to cut up for their patchwork quilt?
Thursday 21st August
Nicola and Paul have a fun day together trying to find matches for Diane’s ruined clothes.
Back at the village, Rodney frog marches them into the bar to find Diane holding up a skirt with holes in it. Paul apologises and offers her an outfit they have bought as a peace offering.
All is going well until Diane spots that the new outfit is a size 16. Luckily Diane sees the funny side and Paul is buoyed, glad to forget his problems for a while.
However, Paul’s raised spirits don’t last long. He spots a few missed calls from Jonny and reads a text from him informing that he has instructed a solicitor as he wants a divorce. Paul is shattered.
Friday 22nd August
Andy mentions to Jo that Sarah has been talking about having a little sister. Jo is thrown and manages to laugh it off but Andy suggests they talk about it more seriously later.
Jo isn’t keen on the idea of having a baby and thinks this is one of the worst things that could happen at the moment. Will Jo be able to be honest with her husband about how she is feeling?
Elsewhere, Val has arrived home early from her holiday and is getting passionate with Eric when her shirt rides up to reveal a freshly done tattoo of the name ‘Derek’.
When Eric spots the tattoo he is furious and demands to know who ‘Derek’ is. Will Val be able to explain her way out of this one?
