Ric can't think of anything else but Leo's funeral and wants to deal with that first before he deals with career matters, as the medical drama continues. He bids a final farewell to Leo and then heads off to see Jayne to tell her that he's resigning.
However, after a visit from Mr Tan, who needs his help, Ric agrees to stay at Holby and take the chief job.
Faye, meanwhile, is looking at wedding locations when Jac walks in on her. When she discovers that Faye wants a quiet wedding she immediately tells Joseph – which doesn't go down well until they find a compromise.
Elsewhere, Maria receives an email from a stranger who claims to be a relative of a young girl she treated.
