USB Phone Connection Problems

I have a sony erricon phone and i have installed the pc suite. I got this in february so have had it for a while and it has worked fine. However, know when i put my phone into the cable and it loads on the computer the mouse freezes and wont move at all. And when i take it out, the mouse works again.

I thought maybe it was too much memory on the phone so i deleted some of my files and it was the same :S

Does anyone have any idea why it is freezing?

maybe uninstall the pc suite then install it again? i cant think of anything else sorry

Close all other applications when you use the program. My laptop goes really slow when I plug my phone in.
