Dodgy laptop screen...Help :(

Hiya, I have a problem with my laptop screen but i dont no what has happened, it now looks like this

but if i was to print screen it would come up as nothing is wrong so i made the picture above to make it look like that, i have checked resolution size and stuff but none of it has changed
does anyone have any ideas?

Try...
Right-clicking on the background.. click properties. click settings, adjust the screen area to 1024 x 768? Let me know how it goes x

When did it go like that? Was it after you booted up?

It started happening about 3 days ago but wouldnt happen every time i put it on, but since yesterday it has been happening every time i put it on, and is as soon as the startup screen is on

You tried running a virus check? Sorry if I appear patronising, you all know a lot more about IT than I do.

Try using one of the desktops that came with the laptop

yep ive done a virus scan and no problems there

and i have just set it to a custom background and it still has the black down the side

a message came up when my sister was looking at it and it was something like intel graphics driver, but a solution couldnt be found

Try reinstalling the graphics drivers

Can you take it back to the shop to see if they can repair it. When I got Marley's laptop at xmas I pay an extra £7 a month to PC World that way if anything is wrong they will repair it or replace it for free.
