Not always. Its ok if you're dehydrated. I've not heard that coffee helps retain water in the body.

No idea. Its probably naturally occuring in the ingredients.

ADH (anti diuretic hormone) is secreted in the brain to tell the kidneys to reabsorp water when the blood is very concentrated (not enough water). ADH is inhibited when the blood concentration is dilute so the kidneys get rid of water.
