Angry More domestic violence for Jo

EMMERDALE fans have been shocked by scenes showing stunning Jo Sugden getting battered by husband Andy. And shooting the storyline was just as disturbing for Roxanne Pallett – the brave young actress who plays Jo – because she has suffered domestic violence in real life.

Roxanne, 25, says: “I understand the pain and isolation that Jo feels because I have been there myself.”

In the soap, viewers have witnessed Roxanne’s feisty character being thrown against a wall.

Andy promises it will not happen again, but in an episode to be screened later this month another violent outburst ends with him breaking Jo’s wrist.

Andy has turned into a horrible person, I feel sorry for Jo

I am really tired with the Andy character now, can't they make up their minds (the writers) what type he is supposed to be and stick with it.

Andy failed to mention to Diane how she fell and broke her wrist. Most people think Andy pushed her, but in reality Jo fell from the grease that was dripping from his hair!
