    Kim Ryder in marriage split?

I states in today's papers that Kim Ryder is splitting with husband Jack. Would this be because she is now successful and well known but he has not really had any success since being killed off in EE, so no chance for him to come back like a lot of other characters.

This has been said before and it didnt happen so i dont really believe it yet. Jack has been doing pantos and other plays since leaving Eastenders and is currently in a play now so he has been successful just not on screen.

It was said on the TV news as well now that they have split after 6 years. I am not sure that doing pantos is what a young actor is dreaming of doing after having been a soap star, but well done to being in a play now, Jack. Still does not make him as well known as his what appears to become ex-wife.

LONDON (Reuters) - "Coronation Street" actress Kym Ryder and her actor husband Jack are to separate after nearly six years of marriage, the pair said on Friday.

The couple, who married in 2002, said there was no one else involved and the split was amicable.

In a statement they said: "With great sadness, Kym and Jack Ryder have decided to separate.

"Their separation is amicable and they remain friends with Jack continuing to see Kym's children, David and Emily."

The couple met at the BBC's studios in Elstree in 2001 while Jack was acting in "EastEnders" and Kym was appearing on "Top of the Pops" with her pop group Hear'Say.

In August 2002, they married at St Alban's Cathedral, Hertfordshire, at a ceremony attended by celebrities including "EastEnders" actors Barbara Windsor and Steve McFadden.

They had a trial separation a year later after "experiencing some turbulence" in their relationship, according to the actress's management company.

Jack Ryder, 26, who played Jamie Mitchell in the BBC One soap opera, announced he was quitting the show in March 2002.

Kym Ryder, 31, joined "Coronation Street" in 2006 after leaving Hear'Say. She plays Michelle Connor, a barmaid at the Rovers Return.

So sad, another relationship that did not last.

I think that because he has not had much acting jobs on TV has had an unententional hand in their marrige break-up. Before Jack married Kym he was on one of the most popular programmes and had a great future ahead of him. We will never know if he would have decided to leave Eastenders if he hadn't gotten married to her or not, but you can't blame the media for thinking that way, apart from a couple of Pantos and play's he practically been a househusband over the last 6 years, which I don't think he thought that would happen after appearing in EE. Or maybe it's just the curse of the soaps that young actors find it a lot harder to find work than what they thought they would do once they have left a soap.

It is sad that another marrige has broken down epecially with children being involved

Kym Marsh and Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas have opened up about their romance for the first time.

The couple, who have been dating for three months, went public with their relationship at Monday's Inside Soap Awards 2008 launch.

Lomas told the Daily Star: "Of course we are so happy, just look at the smile on her face! I guess you can say we’ve come clean about what has been going on."

Marsh added: "I couldn’t be happier."

The actress, who plays Michelle Connor in Coronation Street, announced the end of her six-year marriage to ex-EastEnder Jack Ryder in March. However, she insisted that the separation had occurred some time before it became public.

She said: "Jack and I had been split up quite a while before it came out in the papers. A lot of the magazines have been speaking absolute rubbish about my situation.

"We are all just getting used to it at the moment."

Can't help feeling that this relationship will not last either but I wish them luck

Kym Marsh and Jack Ryder were reportedly granted a divorce at the High Court today.

The Coronation Street actress admitted adultery and agreed to pay part of the legal bill during the brief legal hearing, says the Daily Mail.

Marsh, 32, did not contest the decree nisi and stated "yes" when asked if she had been involved in an affair. Former EastEnders actor Ryder, 27, said in the court papers that he had first discovered the adultery last July after the couple had separated, when Marsh, who plays Michelle Connor in the ITV soap, and Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas went public with their relationship.

The couple, who lost their baby, named Archie, earlier this year when he was born 18 weeks premature, went on to announced their engagement in December.

Ryder and Marsh, who married in August 2002, vowed to remain friends when they parted ways in March last year.

CORONATION Street star Kym Marsh has told for the first time exactly why she dumped husband Jack Ryder - he was BORING.

While she liked to party with pals he liked nothing more than a quiet night in with his Xbox.

The couple have both stayed silent on the reasons behind their bitter divorce last year. But now former Hear'Say pop star Kym has revealed: "Jack didn't like to go out or socialise. He was really into computer games, which makes him sound like he was about 12. . . we just weren't getting on.

"Jack wasn't really a party- goer. He didn't drink.

"I AM a party girl. I like going out, I like having a drink occasionally, I like socialising. And hey, there's nothing wrong with that."

In a a deeply emotional 2½-hour interview with Piers Morgan about her incredible rise from poverty as a single mum to £100,000-a-year soap star, 33-year-old Kym also:

    * ACCUSED dull Jack of suffocating her true bubbly personality.
    * BROKE DOWN as she spoke of the baby she and new love Jamie Lomas lost.
    * REVEALED the real reason she walked out of Hear 'Say.
    * ADMITTED her big fear is Corrie bosses killing off barmaid Michelle Connor, her "dream job".

Opening up to Piers for his ITV1 Life Stories show next Saturday, Kym relived her painful split from 28-year-old Jack and said: "I was always portrayed as the older one, the one with kids, the one who's more feisty and in your face.

"So people thought, 'She must be the puppet master, she must be picking on him and telling him what to do.' But things aren't always as they seem."

Kym first met Jack in the BBC café in Elstree as she waited to appear on Top of the Pops.

"I always thought we were very different," she admitted. "I'd never met a guy who didn't want to go out and drink. In some respects I liked that, a good influence on me. I thought maybe this was right."

After a glitzy showbiz wedding they were dubbed "the council estate Posh and Becks". But in truth they lived a quiet life in St Albans, Herts, with Jack becoming a dad to Kym's two children - David, 15, and Emily, 11 - well away from the West End party scene.

When his EastEnders character Jamie Mitchell was axed he had to tour the country doing theatre work. The couple moved to Manchester in 2005 and Kym landed her Corrie role.

She admits she'd grown tired of being a stay-at-home mum and cracks started to show in the marriage as her TV star shone while Jack struggled to find work. In March 2008 they separated before divorcing last August and haven't spoken since.

Kym admitted that meeting new love Jamie, 34 - Warren Fox in Channel 4's Hollyoaks - rammed home just how stifled she'd been with Jack.

"Jamie is fun, exciting, there's never a dull moment," she said. "I realised how much I'd changed when I was married to Jack. Jamie and I are more suited." They plan to marry later this year.

But tragedy struck Kym and fiancé Jamie last February when their baby Archie died after being born 17 weeks premature. Deeply upset, Kym recalled the depths of their despair.

"I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy," she said. "It's horrible when you've been looking forward to something so much and it's suddenly taken away from you. In all honesty I didn't cope. It was horrendous."

Another troubled time was Kym's dramatic exit from Hear'Say. At the time she blamed it on rows with bandmate Myleene Klass. But looking back she told Piers: "I never hated Myleene. I left because I had a lot of personal stuff going on with regards to the children."

She was worried about not spending time with them. Then a trip abroad was planned. "My job was getting in the way. I was in a complete state. . . and I said 'Yeah, I quit.'

"I didn't talk to any of the band because I was angry. I really regret that, it was a mistake. But my head was everywhere. I was an absolute mess."

Now, with new success in Corrie, Kym has only one fear. "We all worry about being called and told your character is going to die," she said.

"Nobody's indispensable. It would be a nightmare!"

Piers Morgan's Life Stories with Kym Marsh is on ITV1, Saturday March 13, 9pm.

I cannot stand the girl - she is so full of her own importance now - surely there are more "interesting" people Piers could interview.
