    Spoilers 31 March - 4 April

    Monday 31 March 2008

Donna (Verity Rushworth) is unimpressed when Ross (Samuel Anderson) invites Shane (Paul McEwan) to Andy (Kelvin Fletcher) and Jo's (Roxanne Pallett) party and is anxious as Shane flirts with Jasmine (Jenna-Louise Coleman). As Shane charms the locals, Donna decides to give him a chance. However later on as they exit the pub, Shane makes a move on Donna and as he becomes aggressive, Donna knees him in the groin and rushes home in tears. Will she take action against Shane?

Elsewhere, while everyone's enjoying themselves at the party, Paddy (Dominic Brunt) is fed up because he's on call and can't drink. As a result of Val's (Charlie Hardwick) homemade cocktails, the locals are extremely merry by the time they leave the pub and decide to go back to Paddy's to continue their antics. As the night draws on, Paddy is horrified when the drunken partygoers pay the animals in the vet a surprise visit.

Meanwhile, Shadrach (Andy Devine) receives a mysterious phone call which leaves Zak (Steve Halliwell) and Lisa (Jane Cox) suspicious. Chas (Lucy Pargeter) realises that it's the adoption agency and sets about preparing Shadrach for his meeting with Genesis. When Zak and Lisa see Shadrach spruce himself up and assume he is after a woman, Shadrach lies and says he has a date. How much longer can he keep his long-lost daughter a secret?

    Tuesday 1 April

An annoyed Paddy (Dominic Brunt) discovers that his car won't start because Ross (Samuel Anderson) tampered with it the night before. Ross gives Paddy a lift to work but as they chat, Ross nearly hits a girl on a moped, but she swerves into a ditch. After checking on the girl, Ross panics that he's still over the limit and could lose his job when the police find out. Paddy is relived that the moped driver Gennie (Sian Reese-Williams) is ok and agrees when Ross begs him to tell the police he was driving. Suddenly Gennie's condition worsens and she's rushed to hospital. Will Paddy come to regret his lies?

Elsewhere, Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) turns up to see Donald (Michael Jayston) with a list of her demands. However Donald bins the papers and throws her out, insisting if she doesn't leave then he'll have her done for attempted murder. Armed with bin bags of clothes, Nicola spots David (Matthew Wolfenden) in his car, but he drives off when he sees her. Nicola then goes to visit David and tries to worm her way back in to his affections but he tells her to get lost.

Meanwhile, Donna (Verity Rushworth) heads to the station to make a complaint but Shane (Paul McEwan) sees her arrive and gets to Vaughan (Richard Cole) first, claiming that Donna is caving under the pressure of Viv's (Deena Payne) investigation and needs time off. Donna then tells Vaughan she wants to report Shane for sexual harrassment but is dismayed when Vaughan warns her that it would result in either the end of her career, or the end of Shane's. Donna quietly fumes as Vaughan tells her to take some time to reconsider before taking it further. Will Donna be scared off by the prospect of losing her job?

    Wednesday 2 April

Paddy (Dominic Brunt) and Ross (Samuel Anderson) are shocked when they arrive at the hospital and find out that the moped rider is in intensive care. Paddy starts to worry but Ross assures him that if he worst happens then he'll own up. Gennie's (Sian Reese-Williams) adoptive mother shows up and confides in Paddy about Gennie being adopted, but turns cold when she discovers he caused the accident. Paddy then tells Ross he refuses to take the blame and insists his cousin comes clean. Will Ross stay true to his word?

Elsewhere Nicola's (Nicola Wheeler) credit card is declined and a worried Rodney (Patrick Mower) offers to pay for her goods. She then cries to her dad and he agrees to talk to Paul (Mathew Bose) and Jonny (Richard Grieve) about staying at Victoria. When Jonny declines this idea, Rodney talks Matthew (Matt Healy) into renting Brook Cottage to him and Nicola, providing she pays half rent. Will she be able to find the money?

When Chas (Lucy Pargeter) is nervous on Shadrach's (Andy Devine) behalf about his meeting with Genesis, she decides to go along in secret. As Shadrach sits in a country pub waiting for Genesis, only Chas shows up. He informs her that he got stood up and was stupid to get his hopes up. Will Shadrach still want to meet his long-lost daughter or has he given up?

    Thursday 3 April

When Ross (Samuel Anderson) refuses to confess, Paddy (Dominic Brunt) heads to the station to tell them the truth. However when Paddy makes his revelations to Shane (Paul McEwan) he discovers that he may face a prison sentence for perverting the course of justice if he changes his statement. Stunned at this news, Paddy is forced to drop it and accept the points on his licence. Will he be able to forgive Ross for making him take the rap?

Elsewhere, the village is littered with rubbish bags and Donald (Michael Jayston) assures the locals that things will change once the De Souzas take over. Miles (Ayden Callaghan) tells Donald that he warned him this would happen and as a result Donald tells Miles to pull rank or leave the business. Meanwhile Matthew (Matt Healy) is smug when he sees Miles becoming detached from his father and Donald asks a gloating Matthew to do one final bin run. Will he step up and accept?

Also Donna (Verity Rushworth) is unsure of whether to proceed with her complaint, fearing that Vaughan (Richard Cole) doesn't believe her. Over in the café, Viv (Deena Payne) asks Donna what is wrong and she explains her dilemna. Meanwhile Shane (Paul McEwan) tells Ross to convince Donna not to make the complaint. However, Donna insists on going back to the station after Viv fuels her with anger. She asks Ross to back her up with her case, leaving him stuck firmly in the middle.

    Friday 4 April

Shane (Paul McEwan) visits Donna (Verity Rushworth) claiming he's come to make peace, but ends up threatening her not to make a complaint. Marlon (Mark Charnock) arrives home in time and hurls Shane against a wall, leaving Donna convinced she must go ahead with the complaint. However, Shane warns Ross (Samuel Anderson) that he will take him down with him if he verifies Donna's story. When asked to give his statement, Ross doesn't back Donna up. Donna is left feeling betrayed by Ross and brands him a coward. Will he decide to tell the truth to save Donna and their friendship?

Elsewhere, Paddy (Dominic Brunt) visits Gennie (Sian Reese-Williams) at the hospital and they enjoy each others company. When Paddy is about to leave, Gennie asks him to visit again, admitting she doesn’t have many friends. Back in the village, Ross offers Paddy a drink as a peace offering but Paddy doesn't accept and tells Ross to stay away. Is their friendship ruined forever?

Meanwhile Matthew (Matt Healy) is angry when his slanderous press release fails to make the Hotten Courier so he spreads a rumour that the De Souzas shafted King & Sons over the refuse contract. Val pays Eli £20 to remove the rubbish outside the Woolpack but Donald sees him and offers him cash to do the whole village, so long as he gives De Souzas credit for his good deed.
