    Spoilers Week Starting 3rd March

    Monday 3 March

Emily (Kate McGregor) and Patricia (Vicki Michelle) make their surprise returns on the morning of Paul (Mathew Bose) and Jonny's (Richard Grieve) wedding. However, in the midst of the chaos caused by the simmering feud between Rodney (Patrick Mower) and Val (Charlie Hardwick), Paul decides enough is enough. Taking a spare vacancy at the registry office, Paul brings Jonny together with their witnesses Emily and other friend Barry (Joe Mills) to get married in secret. On their return to the village the newlyweds can't bring themselves to tell their family what they've done and submit to Rodney and Val's more lavish ceremony. Will anyone discover the second wedding is a fake?

Meanwhile, under pressure from the De Souzas, Matthew (Matt Healy) sets Carl (Tom Lister) on Pollard (Chris Chittell) to bribe their way to the refuse tender. Pollard greedily accepts five thousand pounds but on his return home Val snaffles the cash for their wedding fund. With a favour to the Kings now outstanding, Pollard pays a visit to old foe Councillor May (Terry Gilligan). As primary discussions take place, Pollard is floored when Rosalind (Philippa Howell) enters, introducing herself as Mrs May. When the councillor leaves the room, Rosalind advises Pollard that if he confides in her, all parties can get what they want. Will Pollard risk his relationship to get involved with Rosalind?

    Tuesday 4 March

Pollard (Chris Chittell) guiltily lavishes Val (Charlie Hardwick) with gifts before taking a taxi to meet up with Rosalind (Philippa Howell). Meeting at a top hotel, Pollard is nervous when Rosalind books a room and then goes to make herself comfortable. Business is cast aside as Rosalind lures Pollard into bed, only for things to take an unexpected turn when he can't perform. Rosalind acknowledges that Pollard is in love and agrees to convince her husband to accept the Kings' tender. Outside the hotel, Rosalind gives Pollard a goodbye kiss and a mystery camera snaps the evidence. Has Pollard made a huge mistake?

Also, Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) frays the edge of the stair carpet, hoping that Donald (Michael Jayston) will slip and fall. Later, she coaxes her husband to the top of the stairs, only for Cindy (Tiffany Chapman) to offer her help getting him down. As the ladies both attempt to take Donald's arm Nicola steps back and trips on the sabotaged carpet herself. Donald finally makes his way downstairs to find Nicola injured at the bottom. Remarking on the shoddy carpet, Donald jokes that he would be dead if he'd had fallen instead. Are Nicola's murderous plans doomed to fail?

Elsewhere, Paul (Mathew Bose) is disgruntled to find Jonny's (Richard Grieve) friend Bev (Jody Ellen Machin) intends to extend her stay in the village. After learning that Perdy (Georgia Slowe) has booked a spa visit for two, Paul spies an opportunity. Convincing Perdy to take the jilted Bev with her, Paul delivers the happy news. Can Paul and Jonny now start their married life properly?

    Wednesday 5 March

Rosalind (Philippa Howell) comes to see Pollard (Chris Chittell) and stuns him by revealing some photos of them kissing the day before. After reading the blackmail note demanding 5 grand to keep quiet, Pollard begs Rosalind to pay the money so Val (Charlie Hardwick) won't find out. Rosalind instructs Pollard to find the blackmailer's identity but when he begins his search later, David (Matthew Wolfenden) interrupts and sees the photographs. David warns Pollard that he must give Rosalind the money from the Kings and the councillor is pleased to have avoided further controversy. But will the blackmailer be so easily satisfied?

Meanwhile, Ashley (John Middleton) is unsure when Hilary (Paula Wilcox) presses ahead with Daniel's funeral arrangements and worries for Laurel's (Charlotte Bellamy) state of mind. When the Bishop (Peter Cartwright) arrives, Laurel can't cope and rushes out. Arriving at the cemetery, Laurel finds two men digging Daniel's grave and with nowhere else to go she decides to visit Greg (Shaun Prendergast). After he urges Laurel to find her inner strength she goes back home and says that the funeral can proceed but only she and Ashley are welcome for the burial.

Elsewhere, Shadrach (Andy Devine) heads over to Sam's (James Hooton) bedsit to find him worn out. Offering an explanation, a terrified Sam tells Shadrach that he's watching Samson (Ben Shooter) every single moment in case he dies like Daniel. A sympathetic Shadrach tells Sam to enjoy each moment with his son and then offers to watch Samson while Sam rests. Returning home later, an emotional Shadrach confides in Zak (Steve Halliwell) that he's dreading Daniel's funeral. Will Shadrach find the strength to say goodbye to his godson?

    Thursday 6 March

Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) and Ashley (John Middleton) both struggle to cope on the morning of Daniel's funeral. At the service, Laurel is unable to give her reading and so Doug (Duncan Preston) steps in to aid his daughter. Fighting back tears, Ashley then gives a moving eulogy for his son with the congregation welling up, but Laurel can only stare blankly at the coffin. Afterwards in the Woolpack, Laurel comes round and furiously blames Hilary (Paula Wilcox) for her son's death. Hilary is devastated and when a reconciliation fails later on, it's decided that she and Doug must leave the village. Laurel later tells Ashley she doesn't know how she'll cope without Daniel and visits the graveside. With her faith shaken and family isolated, who will help Laurel through her grief?

Jo (Roxanne Pallett) is shocked to see Charlie (Michael Keogh) on her way to the funeral and warns him to take his stuff and leave. Returning later in the day with Sarah (Sophia Amber Moore), Jo is taken aback to find Charlie in Butlers wearing only a towel. Revealing that his buyer for the loot has fallen through, Charlie tells Jo that he's sticking around for the foreseeable future. Indignant Jo tells him to get out so Charlie grabs her by the throat and slams her against a wall. Can Jo find some way to rid herself of Charlie?

Elsewhere, Doug is a broken man following Daniel's funeral so Pearl (Meg Johnson) offers him some support. They retire to the village hall and Pearl encourages him to unburden his troubles. Betty (Paula Tilbrook) later explains to Edna (Shirley Stelfox) that Pearl and Doug seem to have bonded. Edna is thoughtful and when she witnesses a hug between them later, takes the opportunity to warn Pearl that Doug is a married man. Pearl is furious, but can she convince Edna that there's nothing going on?

    Friday 7 March

Jo's (Roxanne Pallett) worst nightmare comes true when Charlie (Michael Keogh) decides to move in. Jake (James Baxter) is astonished to hear of the development and tells Jo they must go to the police. Jo is reluctant, but after a visit to prison, she comes home to find the police all over Butlers. Jake confesses to calling the police, but Jo is confused when nobody finds Charlie. Later, Charlie reappears and violently attacks Jo, accusing her of calling the police. He issues a warning that if it happens again, Sarah (Sophia Amber Moore) will pay the price. Can Jo escape her impossible situation?

Meanwhile, Edna (Shirley Stelfox) discovers Lily (Anne Charleston) back in the village but it's clear that the sisters have no intention of spending time with one another. During a conversation with Pearl (Meg Johnson), Lily is surprised to hear of Edna's accusations about Doug, so Pearl decides to fill her in on the problems they had when Len was alive. At that moment Edna enters and seethes to hear more gossip about her. Lily tries to explain and an argument erupts. Is there any way for the warring siblings to reconcile?

Elsewhere, Sam (James Hooton) ignores his family's messages of goodwill as he sets out to do charity work. He talks to Carol (Christine Anderson) about his ongoing problems and she tells Sam that if he ignores his family indefinitely he might as well be in prison. A thoughtful Sam returns home and asks the Dingles if he can eat with them. Can Sam put the past behind him and reunite with Zak (Steve Halliwell) and Lisa (Jane Cox)?
