Valentine's Day

my partner doesn't believe in Valentines day.. he said there should be no special day to tell me he loves me, that should be done everyday and he will spoil me on days I will least expect it

I agree with his theory Siobhan. Valentine's Day is just a stab in the back for the single people, in my opinion.

Only once I was single on Valentine's day and I have to say it was one of the best nights I ever had.. while all the couples are out been all loved up and dining, the clubs are fully of single people!! It was amazing.. I had a great laugh and got lots of hugs and kisses all night...
I would rather be single on Valentine's day any time!!!

Good on you, girl. Mind you, some couples only go through the motions because it is expected of them, they are not necessarily all loved up, just because they are out together.

I had nothing this year. I've had 3 cards in the past, but never had a boyfriend on Valentines. It was quite funny because my school set up a valentines post box so this boy put in a card and a present for this girl and paid £2 to send it without her knowing it was from him, and it was obvious to her he sent it because they delivered it while he was in the lesson and he went absolutely bright red - don't think he banked on it being delivered in that lesson; he won't like prompt delivery any more!

Another year has passed and another Valentine's Day is coming up in a couple of days. Have any of your views changed? Do you feel different now perhaps because you are in a steady relationship or do you feel different because you no longer are? What will you be doing this Saturday?

it is just me and my son this valentines (boyf in Germany and daughter out with her dad) so I am taken him to burger king

I have booked a table in a nice restaurant in town for Saturday night and shall be treating OH to a nice meal. His turn to treat me in a couple of weeks

My hubby always spends a forturne on red roses from interflora. I really don't appreciate them - the hardly last 5 days and cost £50. A total waste if you ask me.

I do appreciate the champagne though!

My friend has persauded me to go to this club where they are holding a " traffic lights Valentine's night" You wear red if your taken, amber if you're open to persausion or green if you're good to go!
