    Spoilers week starting 11/02/08

    Monday 11 February 2008

Gray (Christopher Villiers) and Katie (Sammy Winward) receive positive news from the latest baby check-up but he is evasive when Katie suggests lunch. Persuasive, Katie seduces Gray and he softens but insists they take things slowly. They arrrive at the Woolpack to find Carl (Tom Lister) and Matthew (Matt Healy) in the midst of an argument and, to Katie's horror, word of her surrogacy is shared with the regulars. A fuming Carl follows up by saying he wants out of King & Sons. Later Gray returns home with Katie and it seems that the earlier setback has done nothing to dampen their affair as they head for the bedroom.

Meanwhile, Scarlett (Kelsey-Beth Crossley) confides in Daz (Luke Tittensor) about her lack of allies and when she informs him about Carl and Lexi (Sally Oliver), Daz is quick to tell Chas (Lucy Pargeter). A wild exchange takes place when Chas finds her friend but Carl really feels the force of his ex when she thumps him. Later, Scarlett indulges her frustrations and gets drunk with Victoria (Isabel Hodgins), leading Daz to rebuke Lexi for her irresponsibility. Can Lexi regain her sister's trust?

Elsewhere, Jonny (Richard Grieve) is forced to impart some bad news when he discovers the wedding venue has been destroyed. He speaks to Paul (Mathew Bose) and they discuss the option of a registry office, much to Val's (Charlie Hardwick) dismay. Desperate to provide her son with the perfect wedding she asks for Rodney's (Patrick Mower) assistance.

    Tuesday 12 February

Samson's (Ben Shooter) health deteriorates but Sam (James Hooton) is wary of the security at the hospital and calls Marlon (Mark Charnock) for help. Marlon relays Sam's story to Donna (Verity Rushworth) who calls for police assistance. Surrounding the building Sam is supposedly hiding in, the police find nothing, unaware Marlon has tipped Sam off. In spite of Donna's presence, Sam opens up to his cousin and is eventually convinced to turn himself in. On arrival at the police station there is a tug-of-war between police and Dingles and Sam finds himself arrested and Samson taken away. Shouting his belief that he's been betrayed, Sam is led to a cell. Are his troubles just beginning?

Also, Scarlett (Kelsey-Beth Crossley) remains cold towards Lexi (Sally Oliver) while growing more friendly with the devious Debbie (Charley Webb). Scarlett is thoughtful when Debbie offers her a room at Tug Ghyll, but Daz (Luke Tittensor) convinces her that if she moves into Home Farm she can keep an eye on the Kings. Matthew (Matt Healy) is stunned to find Lexi (Sally Oliver) and Scarlett on the doorstep as the power struggles within the King family threaten to erupt once more.

Meanwhile, as Carl (Tom Lister) packs his bags Matthew reminds him who the decision maker is in the family business. Meeting Lexi in the pub, Carl bemoans his lack of success but she warns him against cutting his ties with his brothers. Agreeing wholeheartedly, Carl does move into Dale View but decides to remain with King & Sons.

    Wednesday 13 February

Sam (James Hooton) tells his side of the armed robbery to the police but Blackmore (Daniel Coll) isn't inclined to believe him. Sending Shane (Paul McEwan) to see David (Matthew Wolfenden) the police are dismayed when he supports Sam's story that it was a misunderstanding. They downgrade Sam's charges to breaking and entering and release him. A furious Sam has no choice but to return to the Dingles where he is told by the social worker that unless he remains with his family, Samson (Ben Shooter) could be taken into care. Will Sam cope with his family's interference?

Elsewhere, Jo (Roxanne Pallett) gets a lift from Ross (Samuel Anderson) to visit Andy (Kelvin Fletcher) which sets tongues wagging amongst the other prisoners. An uncomfortable Jo breaks the news that she can't marry Andy in prison and leaves him devastated. Later, Andy is annoyed by Charlie (Michael Keogh) goading him about Jo and Ross and attacks his prison mate. Andy is injured and taken to the hospital where Jo rushes back to see him. Noticing Andy's fragile emotional state Jo reluctantly agrees to a prison wedding. Will her gesture allieviate Andy's fears over his relationship?

Also, Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) is wound up by David's (Matthew Wolfenden) flirtation with Cindy (Tiffany Chapman) and by Donald (Michael Jayston) when he refuses her request to expand the business. A mischievous Donald heads over to the café and in full view of David donates ten grand to Viv's (Deena Payne) charity fund. David is impressed and brings news of the good deed to Nicola who is furious with Donald's lies.

    Thursday 14 February

Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) remains in a bad mood over Donald's (Michael Jayston) cavorting with Cindy (Tiffany Chapman) but her mood lightens when she discovers the nurse is an actress. Nicola tells David (Matthew Wolfenden) the news and resolves to increase her husband's blood pressure by passionate means. That evening Nicola impresses Donald with a romantic evening and vows to prove her love is real. As she leans in for a kiss David barges in and calls Nicola to work. Alone, David confesses he wants Nicola to himself, forcing her to turn to a more direct method of erasing her husband. Will David agree to kill Donald with Nicola?

Meanwhile, Val (Charlie Hardwick) and Rodney (Patrick Mower) present their wedding ideas to Paul (Mathew Bose) and Jonny (Richard Grieve) asking them to choose which is best. While Rodney's is a model of sophistication, Val stuns her audience with a fifties themed day including a pink cadillac and male cheerleaders. She heads off believing all parties to be supportive of her plan, but can Paul and Jonny retake control of their big day?

Also, Jo (Roxanne Pallett) does her best to sound enthusiastic when she tells the Sugdens about her prison wedding. In jail, Andy (Kelvin Fletcher) can only watch as his nemesis Charlie (Michael Keogh) is released. Jo and Jack (Clive Hornby) begin the process of planning the day around the regulations of the penal system. Jack admires her selflessness, but how long can Jo mask her true feelings?

    Friday 15 February

Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) attempts to wear David (Matthew Wolfenden) down over his objections towards her murderous plans. When she can't convince him Nicola decides to act alone. Later she makes Donald (Michael Jayston) dinner, eager for him to sample her special strawberry cheesecake. Meanwhile, David is horrified when Cindy (Tiffany Chapman) tells him that Nicola and Donald are sharing a romantic meal alone and rushes for the door. Tearing into Holdgate, David surveys broken glass, Nicola holding a carving knife and Donald's crimson stained shirt on the floor. Has Nicola followed through with her threat?

Elsewhere, Sandy (Freddie Jones) reveals to Ashley (John Middleton) that Luke has invited him to India but the vicar is less than thrilled about his father trekking across the world. Sandy is unimpressed by the inference that he's too old but is more concerned about telling Betty (Paula Tilbrook). Will Sandy find the right words before leaving on a jet plane?

Meanwhile, Jo (Roxanne Pallett) is run down by planning the wedding and agrees to a drink with Ross (Samuel Anderson). Close to tears, Jo confides her fears about the day and admits that her life is nowhere near what she expected it to be. Ross attempts to calm her by praising her efforts on the farm and with her family. Jo is cheered, but can she continue to cope alone?

How long will it be before Jo gets together with Ross? She has never managed to stay on her own for very long before and with all the pressure on her, will be tempted soon, I am sure. And when Charlie is released from prison, I dare say he will end up in Emmerdale to try his luck with her, to annoy Andy.
