Series Producer Cameron Welsh has been asked to do some crystal ball gazing and reveal the secrets of Summer Bay in 2008.
A question that is on the lips of every fan... What’s going to happen with Jack and Martha – will they ever get back together?
Jack (Paul O’Brien) obviously didn’t realise that Martha (Jodi Gordon) was at the wedding, but Tony (Jon Sivewright) and Sam (Jessica Chapnik) saw her in the church. As you can imagine, there will be a showdown between the two women and that will have a pretty explosive conclusion! The bottom line is, Sam has Jack and she’s determined to hold onto him. She’ll certainly fight for him. (Courtesy of TV Week)
What about Matilda and Ric? Will they ever get back together?
from Home & Away website
Indiana (Evans) and Mark (Furze) have done a great job of portraying that relationship. But it will be a very bumpy ride for their characters. They’re both very young, so it’ll be interesting to see if they can pull through it. (Courtesy of TV Week)
Will Geoff find love in 2008?
The new year will see romance for Geoff (Lincoln Lewis). He has very firm religious beliefs and he’s grown up with a fairly sheltered existence on the farm, so romance for him will take a pretty interesting twist. But he may have more than one new love interest in the new year. (Courtesy of TV Week)
Kate Ritchie leaves the show in 2008. Any hints about how she’ll be written out?
It’s a fantastic departure, but it’s what leads up to her departure that is really going to make interesting television. We’ll see the return of a couple of old faces, including a surprise guest that absolutely no one will expect. (Courtesy of TV Week)
What else is coming up?
One of our most popular characters will have their life turned upside down by a life-threatening illness. There will also be a death, which will obviously have a major impact on the lives of several other characters in the show, and an unexpected romance between other characters. We can look forward to more than one wedding in the Bay as well as a big mystery that will have a shocking conclusion. And one well-known couple will break up – and it’s a really toxic break-up. There will be no coming back for them. (Courtesy of TV Week)
Todd Lasance (Aden Jeffries) becomes a regular cast member. What’s in store for his character?
You find out a bit of family history. There’s a dark secret. You find out why he’s a bad boy at the moment. Aden doesn’t change but you see where a lot of his anger has come from and why he reacts the way he does. (Courtesy of TV Week)
Conrad Coleby (Roman Harris) is also a new cast member. What’s his story?
Roman comes to the bay and we soon learn that his past is tied up in the military – the SAS to be precise. He has come to Summer Bay for a more laid back and peaceful lifestyle although it seems he may be running from his past.
We tried to get more information on the 'mystery man' and the nasty Rev Hall, but unfortunately the crystal ball clouded over! So we will just have to tune every night at 7pm for all the answers.
