    When Sam (James Hooton) turns up to work with Samson (Ben Shooter), a concerned Jo (Roxanne Pallett) lets this slip to Lisa (Jane Cox), so Zak (Steve Halliwell) heads over to the farm. Trying to make Sam realise that it is his last chance with social services and that a working farm isn't really a suitable place for a toddler, Sam agrees to go back to the Dingles with him for tea. However it isn't long before he feels railroaded, and when Lisa tries to give Samson a bath, Sam flips and storms out taking his son with him. Can the Dingles make their stubborn son see sense before social services get involved?

    Terry (Billy Hartman) is struck with pangs of guilt when Duke (Dicken Ashworth) arrives downstairs with his bags packed. Later that day, Terry tells Duke that he will be missed but the pair are still awkward around each other, neither able to display their emotions. Have the past few months done nothing to bring father and son closer together?

    Meanwhile, Gray (Christopher Villiers) and Perdy (Georgia Slowe) watch in amazement as Katie (Sammy Winward) has her first scan. Perdy asks the sonographer for the sex of the baby but is silenced when Gray asserts it is Katie's decision whether to find out or not. Touched by his consideration, Katie later sympathises with him when he shares his upset at the prospect of being a part-time father. Could Gray be seeing Katie in a new light?

    Tuesday 29 January

    Shadrach (Andy Devine) is shocked to find out that Zak (Steve Halliwell) and Lisa (Jane Cox) are considering temporary custody of Samson (Ben Shooter). When Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) advises Shadrach to make Zak and Lisa see sense, he decides to inform Sam (James Hooton) of their plans. Encouraging Sam to go on the run, Shadrach supplies him with a gun for emergencies. Sam remembers Pollard's offer to lend him some money and hotfoots it over to the factory. Unable to find Pollard, Sam steals what he can find but is soon interrupted by David (Matthew Wolfenden). Catching sight of the gun, David panics allowing Sam to flee. Will the unlikely criminal make his getaway?

    Meanwhile, Sandy (Freddie Jones) struggles as he helps Laurel with the pushchair. When she gives him Daniel (Rachel Moonie) to hold, Bob (Tony Audenshaw) notices that Sandy has gone pale and rushes over, taking Daniel off him in the nick of time as Sandy passes out. At the hospital, it's revealed that Sandy hasn't kept on top of his diabetes medication leaving Ashley (John Middleton) and Betty (Paula Wilcox) annoyed and upset. Can stubborn Sandy be persuaded to slow down and grow old gracefully?

    Elsewhere, Val (Charlie Hardwick) locks herself in the ladies and refuses to go to her hospital appointment. Unrelenting, Pollard (Chris Chittell) orders her out and off to the hospital. Will Val find her valiance?

    Wednesday 30 January

    Sam (James Hooton) is taken aback to see the police looking for him, and sneaks out of the back of the barn with Samson (Ben Shooter). When Shadrach (Andy Devine) finds the barn empty, he panics and confides in Chas (Lucy Pargeter) about his role in Sam's disappearance who makes him confess to Zak (Steve Halliwell). Furious, Zak enlists help to search for Sam but as darkness falls, they realise there is little else they can do, and give up. Has the Dingles interfering lead to them losing their both their son and grandson forever?

    Meanwhile, Diane (Elizabeth Estensen) is bemused to find Val (Charlie Hardwick) making a list of things she wants to see before her operation. However, when Val compares her cataracts to Diane's cancer, she storms off, incredulous that her sister could compare the two. Later Pollard (Chris Chittell) tells Val that he has paid for her to have her operation done privately and therefore quicker.Is Val fast approaching her day of reckoning?

    Thursday 31 January

    Pollard (Chris Chittell) arrive at the Dingles and suggests to Zak (Steve Halliwell) that they do a TV appeal for Sam (James Hooton). Lisa (Jane Cox) helps to persuade Zak that it's the right thing to do and by the end of the broadcast both are in tears. As the TV blares out in the deserted house where Sam's hiding out with Samson (Ben Shooter), will Zak and Lisa's heartfelt words reach their target audience?

    Elsewhere, there's a definite frisson between Gray (Christopher Villiers) and Katie (Sammy Winward) as they rearrange the house to make room for the new things that Katie has bought. Later that day, Diane (Elizabeth Estensen) is surprised when Gray tells her that he is beginning to feel very close to Katie, and suggests that Katie may not be as understanding as Perdy (Georgia Slowe) was about him being gay. Striking a chord, can Gray bury his urges this time around or is history about to repeat itself?

    Elsewhere, Val (Charlie Hardwick) shocks everyone when she agrees to join Viv's (Deena Payne) charity aerobics display. However she later admits to Diane that her operation is the same day as the fundraiser and has no intention of climbing into a plane. Will Val's flight of fancy come back to haunt her?


    Friday 1 February

    Relaxing at Mill Cottage, Gray (Christopher Villiers) thanks Katie (Sammy Winward) for the care with which she's carrying his baby and admits she's become an important part of his life. The moment intensifies and Katie kisses Gray. For a second he responds but after he pulls away, Katie rushes off embarrassed. As the two open up, Gray admits that Perdy (Georgia Slowe) has been blackmailing him. Will this finally force Katie to choose sides between the future surrogate parents?

    Meanwhile, Andy (Kelvin Fletcher) receives a piece of good news when the marriage documents arrive for him to sign, unaware that Jo (Roxanne Pallett) is having doubts marrying in prison. Elsewhere, Jo runs out of petrol on the way to her visit, and having left her mobile at home, is forced to ambandon her plans and walk back home. Thinking that she's forgotten about him, Andy is furious. Is the jailhouse rocking their relationship already?

    Elsewhere, Debbie (Charley Webb) is initially reluctant when Jo asks her to babysit Sarah (Sophia Amber Moore) but when Jo explains she's visiting Andy, Debbie agrees. However she's soon surprised to find herself enjoying the experience. Could Debbie be finding her inner mother?
