Who want to be a Millionnaire

Anybody watch this? I love quiz shows and always end up winning loads of dosh whilst sitting in front of the TV, I know that this could change dramatically should I ever take part for real.

I think its well past its sell by date, it was good years ago when it first came out but the format has become tired now imo.

I remember when it first started around ten years ago and everybody used to watch it. It regulary got 10-12 million viewers.

It's just boring now, I don't know why ITV continue to put it on a prime time slot.

I do like the celebity version though when they play for charity. I think that Will Greenwood and Martin Johnson on it last satyrday were hilarious.

Jeremy Clarkson "to present new series of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?"

Jeremy Clarkson has signed up to present the latest incarnation of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?.

The Grand Tour presenter is apparently set to work on a revamped version of the game show for production company Stellify Media, who were behind Paul O'Grady's successful Channel 5 reboot of Blind Date.

A source told The Sun on Sunday: "Jeremy is a huge character and the bosses are convinced he is going to come in and really make the show his own.

"As well as interviewing contestants and giving answers, he'll be injecting plenty of humour.

"The show was a huge hit last time around and the hope is that it'll live up to that success the second time around."

The show was hugely popular in the late nineties and early noughties, first airing in 1998 and ending in 2014 after host Chris Tarrant, 57, stepped down from presenting duties after 16 years.

Arguably the most famous episode during Chris Tarrant's reign featured Charles Ingram, who cheated his way to £1million by having his wife Diana, and an accomplice, Tecwen Whittock, in the audience to cough when the correct answer to a question was read out, earning him the nickname "The Coughing Major".

Meanwhile, Jeremy's Grand Tour co-host James May recently revealed that the presenters - including Richard Hammond - aren't friends outside of the show.

He admitted: "Outside of work, we don't meet up. It's very rare. I've spent so much time with them by the time we get to the end of work. I have no real desire to spend any more with them! I have other friends and a woman waiting at home who loves me. And that's preferable!"

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? originally aired on ITV between September 1998 until February 2014.
