Recently his wife and son were driving home from school when another car drove into them, his wife died on scene while their son got away with just a broken arm. Ian's heartbroken and is trying to stay strong for his young son but how long can he cope with his loss?


Ellis Hollins - Jake Smith

Age: 7
Occupation: Student
Marital Status: Single
Parent(s): Ian Smith

Jake is suffering badly but won't tell his dad because he understands that Ian has much to worry about already. Jake's dreams are plagued with his mum dying in the car seat beside him, he's trying to cope with loss but misses his mum dreadfully.

Shane West - Liam Jasper

Age: 29
Occupation: Doctor
Marital Status: Single
Parent(s): N/A

Liam and his sister, Frankie, used to live with their dad but when he was 25 and Frankie was 12 their dad was imprisoned for armed robbery. Liam has looked after his sister since and they live together in Samson Bay. When his father had commited his crimes Liam had just arrived back from University after training to become a doctor and is currently working in the local surgery.


Michelle Keegan - Frankie Jasper

Age: 16
Occupation: Student - Saturday job as waitress in 'The Grapevine'
Marital Status: Single
Parent(s): N/A

While Liam had been off at University Frankie and her dad had struggled for money, he'd always been a crook but not a big time villian. However when the offer came his way he couldn't say no, he just wanted his family to be provided for. Frankie doesn't blame him for what he'd done, however she feels slight resentment towards Liam despite him taking her in.

Hugh Jackman - Max Ballantine

Occupation: Owner of 'Liquidized'
Marital Status: Single

Max is a bachelor business man who owns 'Liquidized', he lives in a flat by himself and doesn't appear to have a love interest. His friends include Nathan Roberts, Aiden Carter, Will Johnson, George Griffith - as well as they're families. He's an easy guy to get on with but he has weaknesses, and he has the power to expose other's weaknesses to him.

Occupation: Shop floor assitant

Danielle moved to Samson Bay because she needed to feel independant from her parents, she chose this place of residence because of an old school trip she could remember - the same had seemed to nice that she thought living there would be the best place. And so far, she's been right. She's met Molly and Alex and they've become best friends.
