    Is Jay's mother dead?

I would like his grandfather or some other relative to come into the show for him

There's not much keeping him in Albert Square any more. No doubt he'll be homeless and jobless now. I hope Jamie isn't being written out.

EastEnders fans, rejoice - there could be some happier times ahead for viewer favourite Jay Brown.

Jamie Borthwick appeared on ITV's This Morning today (May 26) and hinted that his character will be forgiven by the Mitchell family before too long, despite being cast out by them a few weeks ago.

Poor Jay became public enemy number one on Albert Square last month when it was revealed that his girlfriend Star 'Linzi' Bragg was an underage schoolgirl. Jay had no idea of this while they were together, but he still struggled to convince the local residents that he'd done nothing wrong.

Speaking about the Mitchells' reaction today, Borthwick laughed: "They've kicked me out at the minute, but I'm really hoping that I shall be back in soon. I can't imagine I'll be out for that long."

Asked how difficult the storyline was to film, Borthwick replied: "Not really, I have to say. Everyone has approached me... when they're saying about it, they're kind of saying it in a bit of a negative: 'Oh, it must have been hard, I don't like that'.

"For me as an actor, it's great to go in and do, so I'm just looking at it like that, really.

"That's just what the show does so well. To be involved in it was brilliant. I was obviously happy that it was something that everyone was talking about."

Borthwick also paid tribute to Barbara Windsor following her emotional exit last week, revealing that she's a "massive" influence on his own career.

He said: "Her husband is my agent, so getting to know her really closely as of late is just lovely. She's a massive influence and she's brilliant and I'm really sad that she's gone."

I really do not know anything about drug dealing and being an addict but from the way a dealer is portrayed in films and tv shows I thought dealers are always clean which is why they make so much money ... although some might start taking drugs themselves though, I guess
