As we head into the new year, let’s take a sneak peek at some of the exciting storylines coming up in the village early in 2008.

Andy and Jo begin the year planning for the forthcoming nuptials. But a huge spanner is thrown into the works when Andy’s court hearing is brought forward.

Will the farmer face a lifetime behind bars? And if he does, will Jo stand by her man, and his daughter?

Later in the year, tragedy hits the Dales when there’s a death among the villagers. The shock news will test one resident’s faith to the limit.

Meanwhile, Social Services are called in after concerns about a Dingle. Will Zak and Lisa be willing to change their lives to help out?

Someone else changing their life is Carrie, who is forced to choose between a future with the love of her life or her beloved daughter Scarlett. The Kings are shocked by her exit but Matthew finds a new target with a very healthy fortune.

Elsewhere, Lily gets arrested and Sam unwittingly becomes a drug courier for Eli. Could these two events be connected and just what is the Dingle up to this time?

As Paul and Jonny plan their big day, Rodney and Val agree to help out. But with the two of these helping the boys, will their day run as smoothly as planned?

And finally, Nicola hatches a plan to do away with an obstacle to her fortune while there’s a tearful farewell as one of the pensioners leaves the village.
