    Monday 14 January 2008

    David (Matthew Wolfenden) begs Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) to tell Donald (Michael Jayston) about them and end their marriage. However, when Nicola confronts her husband, she is horrified when he pulls out an annulment petition. Reeling at being out-witted by an old man she’d presumed would be dead by now, Nicola is astonished when Donald says he doesn’t really want an annulment. When she enquires why not after all that has happened, Donald confesses that she’s the only woman to ever challenge him mentally. Donald demands she finish with David and then they can try again. Will Nicola consider her husband's offer or side with her lover?

    Meanwhile, desperate to beat Terry (Billy Hartman) and Diane (Elizabeth Estensen) in the danicing competition, Viv (Deena Payne) takes Bob (Tony Audenshaw) through his paces only to discover her husband has developed two left feet. Bob is angry after Viv proceeds to tell the villagers about his failings and quits. Can Viv persuade him to reconsider?

    Donna (Verity Rushworth) becomes annoyed when she’s greeted by more banter at work despite Ross (Samuel Anderson) telling her it’s normal for any new recruit. When Shane (Paul McEwan) approaches with an envelope asking Donna to deliver it to a chemist for a prisoner’s medication, Donna is relieved to get some proper police work at last. Will Donna reverse the tables or will the joke be on her once again?

    Tuesday 15 Jan

    Jonny (Richard Grieve) accidentally blurts out Val’s (Charlie Hardwick) secret in front of the other contestants at dance reheasals. A stunned Pollard (Chris Chitell) asks Val if it’s true but humiliated, she rushes out and into her car. As Pollard, Paul (Mathew Bose) and Jonny give chase, Val fails to notice Samson (Ben Shooter) in the road and reverses into him. Panic erupts as Sam (James Hooton) is horror-struck and the ambulance arrives to take an unconscious Samson to hospital.

    Shane (Paul McEwan) arrives to investigate the accident and is concerned to hear that Val has cataracts. Val is on tenterhooks as Shane queries why she was driving in the first place. Will Val be facing police charges and will Samson make a full recovery?

    Meanwhile, when Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) witnesses Donald (Michael Jayston) attempting to get out of his chair, she takes the opportunity to test his new found strength and asks him to take her to the Danceathon. Eager to play her game, Donald says he’ll take her dancing next year and instead goes for a walk with Miles (Ayden Callaghan). They return and it’s clear that Nicola is getting desperate to see Donald meet his demise, will she suceed with her attempt at scaring him to death?

    Eli (Joseph Gilgun) spots an estate agent waiting outside Tug Ghyll. Aware Viv (Deena Payne) really did mean business, Eli marches across to try and scupper the planned viewing. Eli introduces himself as the current occupier to the agent and his prospective clients but will he manage to scare them off before they get through the door?

    Wednesday 16 January

    Viv (Deena Payne) makes it clear she’s intent on evicting Debbie (Charley Webb) and Eli (Joseph Gilgun), but Bob’s (Tony Audenshaw) warning not to do anything stupid falls on deaf ears. A plan forming, Viv bribes Shadrach (Andy Devine) to get Eli out of the house. As the boys settle down for a drinking session, Viv lets herself into Tug Ghyll. Later a drunken Eli stumbles back to the house and is confused when his key doesn’t work. Has Viv found a way to get rid of him once a for all?

    Perdy (Georgia Slowe) confides in Matthew (Matt Healy) she wants to spend some time with Katie (Sammy Winward) to help her see where her best interests lie. Perdy is pleased when Katie accepts an invitation to dinner at Home Farm. At dinner, Carl (Tom Lister) senses the awkward atmosphere and Matthew confides that Katie is carrying Perdy’s baby. How will Carl react to the news?

    Donald (Michael Jayston) convinces Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) to take a day off work, in spite of her obvious desire to see David (Matthew Wolfenden). She is furious later when she finds Donald teaching Miles (Ayden Callaghan) how to run the company finances. Nicola objects to his involvement but Donald insists that they all work as a team. Nicola is mortified and privately warns Miles against trying to muscle in on the business. Will Miles listen to his stepmother's warning?

    Thursday 17 January

    Debbie (Charley Webb) is frustrated at being back at the Dingles. She goes with Jasmine (Jenna-Louise Coleman) to reason with Viv (Deena Payne) who seems in no mood to listen. Desperate not to lose her home, Jasmine threatens Viv with a piece of slanderous journalism. Worried by the lengths they’d go to, Viv agrees to grant Debbie first refusal on Tug Ghyll. Will Debbie be able to find someone to give her a loan in order to raise the funds to buy Tug Ghyll?

    Meanwhile, Sam (James Hooton) is desperately worried about being overdue with his rent. When Eli (Jospeh Gilgun) lies to Sam that he’s running a pick up and drop off taxi service as a favour for some mates, Sam offers to do one of the journeys. Sam is wary when Eli asks to keep it from Debbie (Charley Webb), but will he change his mind when Eli offers double pay?

    Jasmine (Jenna-Louise Coleman) is surprised to get a visit from Miles (Ayden Callaghan) and apologises for hurting him with her article. After agreeing to be friends again, Miles reveals Donald (Michael Jayston) is awake and back with Nicola (Nicola Wheeler). Stunned, Jasmine is incredulous and decides to pay Donald a visit herself. Will Jasmine be able to convince Donald that his wife is a manipulative bitch when his son can't get through to him?

    Friday 18 January

    Eli (Joseph Gillgun) offers to give Sam (James Hooton) more work. After dropping off Eli’s latest client, Sam is stunned when the passenger demands his package. Taking Sam’s silence as a sign he’s a cop, the passenger bolts. Searching the back seat Sam is appalled to find a cannabis package. Will Sam shop his cousin to the police?

    Elsewhere, Carl (Tom Lister) is put out when Matthew (Matt Healy) lectures him on the refuse contract renewal and then Jimmy (Nick Miles) joins in to argue over him loaning Debbie (Charley Webb) her money. Carl is sick of being treated like a kid and when Matthew disagrees with his proposal to buy new waste trucks, Carl despairs that his brothers will take no risks. Will he ignore their advice and go ahead with the deal anyway?

    Meanwhile, Zak (Steve Halliwell) and Lisa (Jane Cox) delicately bring up the subject of Belle’s (Eden Taylor-Draper) school fees with Debbie (Charley Webb). She promises to see what she can do. Meeting with Carl (Tom Lister), Debbie balks slightly when he shows her the repayment figures for the loan. Will this put Debbie off asking Carl for more money for Belle's fees?
